May I post on your forum?
Hoping for a good game on Saturday. The Crows arew a damned hard professional side and if you have a win its because you played good footy.
We have a not bad record over there, but part of that was the "Tarrant" factor and he's gone now. We also have a much longer break: I have to say the scheduling is a mess, its pretty unfair you get 6 days to our 10.
We've been playing balls-and-all intense footy, but its been ragged and ugly most of the time. We have plenty of kids in (like Thomas, O'Brien, Pendlebury) but with the 3 absolute noobs (Dick, Cox and Toovey) they almost seem like settled veterans.
I'm concerned that putting our youngsters out there will be feeding them into a meat-grinder. Adelaide apply excellent suistained pressure and I'd prefer if we went with a few more heavy bodied types to wear the inevitable knocks. Medhurst and Lonie might be available to come in, which would give us a couple of hundred games of extra experience out there.
Our best players over 5 rounds are Thomas (sparking in almost every game), Lockyer (quarterbacking and showing good leadership) and Rocca (working like a draughthorse). Rocca is not 100% but explodes at least once a game and creates goals with sweat even when he can't jump.
Fraser is crook but is finding ways to contribute. He is having trouble winning contests but he can slip away and delivers it well, so you'll need to man him up to negate him: you may have to find a non-ruckman to keep up with him, but a smaller bloke should be enough to nullify him around the ground.
I can see us winning this if we keep up a sustained effort and start producing footy thats as skilled as it is intense. We have shown patches of class but nothing more than patches. We should match you for effort but I can see us being out-muscled and out-classed.
