Something that I quickly learnt when coming onto these forums is that unforunately (and I do mean that), there are a lot of 'feral' posters on this forum who will quickly turn abusive to the poster stating their opinion in a bid to win the debate about who's right. It's come to the point where if you state your opinion of have an idea about anything in particular, you risk being ridiculed. A simple 'No, that wouldn't work, and this is why..." post has a much better effect than stathing how someone is an 'effing this' and 'effing that'.

Everyone should be entitled to their opinion on this forum without risking being insulted by some keyboard hard-nut. An attitude of 'I can't be wrong' is what causes conflict on this forum. Sometimes, posters just need to learn when and where to back off from a situation and not get so steamed up about the situation. We have to remember this this is just a forum, and anything suggested on this site has next to impossible chance of actually happening, so there's no point in getting pissed about someone suggesting that Russell should get another go in the Midfield, or for Thornton to spend time in the Forwardline for isntance.

Simply, just chill out and have a bit of fun. Posters don't understand how hurtful and degrading some of the things that they say really are. We're all here because we love the Carlton Football Club, not to drive away those who are our brothers in arms. I personally have only endured two years of it, but we've copped a lot of sh*t on this forum over the last 7 years. We're about to take the AFL world by storm - what's there to fight about?

Sometimes, you've just gotta' think before posting, as blue_gunslinger has told me many times over the past year. Opening posters and repliers alike are responsible for the way a thread is going to go.
