Did you hear the rumour going around about D Beams? OMG how sensational would that be, I would like be trolling the Collingwood board for ages. It would be totally amazeballs.

I prefer to lurk and like. Good luck with it though, despite my limited faith in your trolling ability.

I always thought the jumper thing was blown way out of proportion by the vast majority of our so called "supporters". I too liked the original fitzroy lion jumper better but the overreaction to cancel memberships and lynch the board was pathetic. I don't mind the new logo too but felt as a jumper it just wasn't as good. I also believe the continued reference to it as the "paddlepop lion" has shown such little respect for the club and has been disappointing. I expect as much from the media but think our supporters should show more respect if we want the rest of the afl community to take us and our club seriously.

Yes, the "3 votes" the "paddlepop" got at the "AGM" from its "supporters" sure did make the decision seem as though it was little more than "well thought out" and "deserving of an ounce of respect".

Obviously entitled to your opinion but the "supporters" comment is quite interesting. Administrators come and go, and you don't have to blindly support the decisions of the temporary custodians in order to be a real "supporter".

As much as many fans hate the Paddlepop jumper itself, I think there is equal resentment for what it represents in what was a total ****up in terms of fan engagement, stakeholder consultation and sheer administrative pigheadedness.

It's been a long battle and some people have probably forgotten some of the events along the journey but I will not forget the contempt that certain CEOs and board members showed to passionate fans throughout the saga.

I was there the night they passed an emergency board resolution to forceably evict supporters from the Gabba area. For what crime you ask? Why, peacefully handing out flyers of course.

FWIW, I never cancelled (or threatened to cancel) my membership, nor did I "lynch" the board. I would be most grateful if you could confirm if I am a supporter or a "supporter".

So called supporters???????????????????

Try 5 generations in my family right here.

And by the way you get the respect you deserve. The Club's admin and Board at the time was completely disrespectful of its members. And talking about respect, your post deserves none. Thank god we actually had a majority of people who actually cared passionately and have helped turn the Club around.

Hey Paddlepop............don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Nothing pathetic about speaking out in revolt towards a decision that struck at the very core of this great club, it deserved to be derided and shouted down at every opportunity.

Also it's these same 'supporters' you talk of that have effected the change for the better that we see today. this club deserves these supporters for we are ultimately the guardians of all that makes this club what it is including it's very identity and i suggest if you don't like that passion then keep that to yourself rather than coming onto this board with a deliberate attempt to have a go at those who have done so much for the betterment of the Brisbane Lions.
