sports news on the telle is next with story, i wana see myself before i get excited..

I don't see the problem its not like what he did was that bad, all those idiots on the main board are just agreeing with what they have heard prior to this incident, that the AFL helped us win the premiership in '05 and thus automatically think that the AFL intervened in this situation.

If inconclusive footage is the reason then I think that is fair! Yes something obviously happened but from the footage I saw it was too hard to determine the exact action that caused the impact or connection. The Port player slipping down in the tackle contributed to the incident.

Whilst Goodes may not have a great game Saturday anyway his presence is important for momentum and to be there for the young players he is mentoring.

Good news indeed and who cares what the AFL community sheep say in negative reply without analyzing the footage.

It's quite amusing to listen to. It's like there is a list of standard phrases that the trolls just copy and paste from somewhere.

"Of course he got off. Its Sydney" etc etc

Oh yes mate, a few familiar names and avatars around. Bernie Quinlan is yet to enter but it will be interesting If he does.

Tribunal got it right.

yes, you're right, and all the stuff on the main board is ludicrous BUT is mostly a reaction because goodes was extremely lucky to get off last year
extremely
a lot of people (including myself) thought he'd cop it this time as a form of payback
fortunately, sanity and sense prevailed, but it's understandable the non-swans are fuming

the most amusing are the squealing saints fans, specially the ones wailing "oh, if it had been steven baker, he'd have got six weeks"
well, that's because comparing goodes, a quality footballer, with that roundly recognised cheap-shot merchant and niggling little thug baker is like comparing apples and dog's eggs

If Goodes didn't get off, there would be a very weak precedent set.
It served the guy who was tackling him (forget who it was) right for continuing the tackle and falling down. Goodes was just pushing him away. Besides, I don't mind seeing taggers get a few little cheap shots back there way.

i'd love to know why st.scum hate us so much,i reckon the 05 prelim.it was nearly better than the week after.

It's to be expected perhaps but its not understandable. Some are just blind to football facts in their illogical hatred of the swans. They think were all ignorant bandwagoners but if it involved the swans these sheep are blinded to all objectivity out of their media and clique induced hate. It’s the sign of low intelligence to repeat the same garbage they have dished up, it should not but occasionally these d$^kheads leave me fuming.

agree here. This game becoming like bunch of fairies. We all want to see fair play but a bit of argy bargy is fine as well.

Thats exactly what I thought. What Goodes did last year was worse so it worried me that somehow the tribunal would somehow want to 'square up'.
