I think the man deserves his own thread.
He's pretty much been in career best form this year. He's put in more BOG performances than he has in recent years, his quieter games have been much more productive, and he's had fewer quiet games overall imo. But most importantly, his touches are quality, and he has provided alot of spark for us this season.
Definitely a smokey for the brownlow this year, especially with how he's finished off the season. No doubt he's relishing being unleashed in the middle, I think he's finally found the balance between the forward/midfield role.
He's a true barometer for how the swans are going. Looking at his stats for the season, he's averaging 99.3 (fantasy score or whatever it is). When he scores above that average, we win, when he scores below, we lose. The only exceptions were round 10 vs North & round 12 vs Richmond where he scored sub-100 and we still won, and round 20 vs Essendon where he scored 139 but missed the kick on the siren to win it.
Everyone expects alot from Goodes, because he's such an amazing player, and this year, he's pretty much been able to meet those high expectations.
Bottom line, he's a true champion of the game, he's a huge player for us, and I just wanted to show my appreciation.
