Re: Simon Goodwin?

He should only miss about a month with a medial ligament injury to his knee.
Surely this can't have been confirmed already?

?????????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Simon Goodwin?

That’s what 5AA were reporting just after Neil Craig press conference.
Strange, as normally you can't tell te extent of the damage until the swelling goes down.

Re: Simon Goodwin?

Hoefully with the split round it will work in his favour. At least he'll have an extra weeks rest without missing a game. Not good news though. The injuries just aren't being kind to us again this season for some reason.

What is the verdict on Roo?

That is the same injury Wells had and they expected he would miss 4-6 weeks at the time of the injury.

Wells was injured round 7 and is now due to return round 13 which is going to be 7 weeks from the time of the injury and they said his injury wasn't severe for it's type.

I guess it is not easy to tell exactly how long until the players are back on the park training.

Re: Simon Goodwin?

That's really bad news! This week isn't a good one injury wise, some big names out.

Re: Simon Goodwin?

They seemingly had this diagnosed by half time as a medial strain the boundary rider I though reported it even.

what are they saying, how long is he likely to be out for?? i heard he was supposed to have scans today?

lost his drive in the middle of the park big time and will be a huge loss if he is out for more than a few.

they said 4-6 weeks. A knee is something i'm sure Neil Craig won't mess around with (like with Burton). Strained ligaments could lead to ACLs/PCL being snapped.... which means knee reconstructions and year long rehab.

He'll be out for atleast 3 games. Keep tabs on Nine News though.

How does a strained medial ligament make you prone to doing an ACL?

Just announced on 5AA from a statement by Goody that is a low grade medial ligament strain, and he is not sure how many games he will miss if any!!! Well thats bloody good news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im glad I didnt trade him from my dream team yet.

Can't listen the 5AA clowns diagnosing an injury before it is possible to do so. Great news that Goody's injury isn't too serious.
