According to Wiki, there’s only 12 episodes this season. Little bit disappointing, this season could definitely have had 24 or whatever they used to.

I'm wondering if it's because it's a shortened season (only 12 eps) and the writers haven't adjusted. I felt it all seemed a little rushed.

It certainly did. A lot of the season so far seems to have felt a little rushed.
It’s a shame they’re going to shoehorn the last season.

That’s what I was hoping.
How many episodes are left? It seems to drifting along with no real purpose. I thought it may have kicked into gear once the mercenaries landed and turned out to be bad guys.
