I ask the question to you Roar and all people that want us to play. Are you guys that hide keyboards willing to jump on board as a volunteer each week for your club to help us and same goes to players that want to play.
Yes I have reached out to a former club and joined the committee and I will share the COVID officer duty at my boys junior club so my boys can play.

MCG , with respect IMO your questions are hypothetical based .

1. I don’t subscribe to the theory that clubs will be forced to endure large financial loss . I very much believe that well over 95% of revenue and expenses could be structured proportionally to the games played .

2. To the best of my knowledge there has been no confirmation of what additionally workload volunteers will be required to undertake .
OMG,
Someone elses opinion is hypothetical based, but everything you say is factual🤔.
You start your rebuttal with IMO!!
You also don’t subscribe to the theory!!
And the best, “to the best of my knowledge”
Whats the difference to your dribble compared to everyone else?
You have more information and access to more resources than us mere mortals, but your ‘opinions’ miss the mark just as much as everyone else on here.
Give us all a rest.

Well my mail was wrong but at least it looks like it could be a goer for 2020. i wonder how many HDFL players would be looking to return to clubs like Echuca and Rochester? no doubt some would also look at the Murray league.if that gets up.

I stated that the questions were hypothetical based , fair difference between a question and a opinion .
If you disagree I am happy to here the facts behind them .
Don’t subscribe to the theory , would you rather I be rude and say I believe they are bullshit ?
‘ Best of my knowledge ‘ well it is exactly that .
How bout you and your followers / alias’ contribute to the discussion rather than continually attempting to play the person .

My posts keep going missing!! Even though at no time in the posts deleted did I mention any other posters, someone must have been jumping at shadows and felt the opinions fitted them!

For what its worth, my opinion has been this from early and hasnt changed now it looks like senior footy will get a start.

No senior footy outside the AFL and state leagues should play this season.
The financial impost on clubs in my opinion outweighs any positives of getting a 2-3 month season going, I give weight to the mental health concerns, but most individuals mental health battles aren’t helped by the playing of football, but by the social, off field aspect.
This can, and should be achieved by clubs and their coaches through training once a week, organised get togethers, such as golf days, camping trips, a Sunday barrell, etc.

Junior football is priority and should start ASAP, they don’t have the problems of crowds, clubrooms, canteens etc.
kids can rock up in their gear and leave in their gear if needed. A season lost in the development of underage children may never be caught back up.
So my call is get the kids back out there and senior sides, spent some quality time together and prepare for 2021.
There you go Roar, thats my take.

But how would you know hank! You haven’t spent the majority of your life involved in country footy, played hundreds of games, coached hundreds of players or contributed at many clubs across the region.

Oh wait!!!

Good post .
I note that the financial side of things appears your major concern , can I ask what costs / losses you believe will be incurred that shouldn’t / couldn’t or won’t be proportional to amount of games played ?

Being reported on Twitter that the Rochester Facebook post is not the view of the league at this stage. So the season start is now unconfirmed.
Maybe a little play on words .
Rochester stated that July 18 was the date the ‘ GVL is aiming ‘ to commence .
From the twitter chat I’ve seen it refers to that date being far from cemented in , or words to that affect .

Isn't Hank's opinion similar to rootas, Silver's and MCGs opinions, yet you have never acknowledged their posts

It will be great if the government lifts restrictions and footy is able to recommense. The key sentence in this statement is: 'this is reliant upon crowds being allowed, as it is not country football or netball without crowds'.
I see South Australia has lifted restrictions from June 1 in pubs / clubs to 80 , space dependent . Full contact training at the same time .

What I have come to learn over this period of time Roar, is it doesn't matter what the other states are doing but more so what our own state and premier is doing, so many inconsistencies. On another note, I see the Loddon Valley and North Central leagues are holding off on a decision about the season until next Monday's meeting. They're saying if they're not permitted to have a crowd, they're not playing.

Financials on a couple of fronts,
I’m not convinced yet that all players will be willing to play for nothing!, and also have no faith in some clubs not handing out under the table payments even if they aren’t allowed, so I could see a snowball affect there.
And secondly, not convinced we will get crowds and even if we got a 500 person limit, A lot of games, especially district league games wont be able to get under that without stopping people at the gate, (and kicking people out after their games, again stifling normal revenue streams) and I’ve no doubt if football did start that crowds would be higher than previous seasons due to us all being locked up and people wanting to get out and socialise.

2 more leagues cancelled there season today, not sure why the 2 Victorian leagues did not wait till Monday.
