Lions have lost a lot of players from report. Osullivan & hartley two main notables. Will drop back in the field. mundy might need to play a few more then 2-3 for them to contend.
Have lost a couple and haven’t recruited many either. Not sure they will drop back as much as some think. The club is in a good space with some excellent young talent coming through. David Mundy will play a few games but he isn’t the key to success, he will just be a player in the team due to his limited availability.

The Lions will be thereabouts again in 2024.

17 years since Seymour last won a flag which is their longest stretch since rejoining the league in 1976.They needed to keep those boys and add a few more to challenge Echuca. Hopefully, they have a few signings.
Been competitive for a long time but not good enough come September. 2017 had a side that was good enough and fell short to bears at Deakin. 2020 were 10-0 before covid hit and were the team to beat. 2023 only lost two games before going out in straight sets.

Ben Davey is a great operator and I'm sure they will be in the mix. This would be his fourth season at the helm?

Yes it’s been a while but if you look over the years the club has been fantastic and always competitive. The Lions are fortunate as we are in a one team town and close to Melbourne. The selling point in keeping and recruiting players is the amazing culture the club has. Positive, inclusive and welcoming to all. Certainly a benchmark for many clubs to aspire to. The club is in a great position going forward. Premierships are great but not always an indicator on how a club is travelling.

Great footy club! The Lions would be one of the most respected clubs in the league for their consistent performance and general culture. Hats off to Seymour!

swans gave numurkah a fair touch up today with 6-8 starting players out. The full forward will cause some headaches for the opposition.

No surprise there mate still a sizeable gap between GV and Murray and that stood out , the swans looked ok once again their leg speed and ball movement looked good and of course they now have a top line forward and a massive ruckman along with Bell returning, will be interesting in seeing how they go

Who is the full forward? A definitely a sizeable gap between two leagues.
