West Coast lost last night to Richmond.

How will that loss have an effect on the supporters if that's the pattern?

Won against Carlton(away)
Lost to Richmond(home)

That's a pretty bad pattern for the Eagles.

Do two games make a pattern? Must be heaps of patterns for each team each season then!!!!!!!!

How will that loss have an effect on the supporters

The vast majority will be very happy at the performance. It was so much better than how we oplayed against the Tigers last year and shows a lot of promise for us. We respect the fact that Richmond are a better side and will finish above us on the ladder but we are improving in so many areas and we have a heap of players still to play this season, so we have a lot to look forward too. 18,000 on a Friday night for a mickey mouse cup game is pretty impressive Suzi, do you think it will be down to Carlton's 5,000 next week after this loss Suzi? Just watch the numbers and see how much of an effect the loss had. Don't forget, we're talking about a champion club here and champion supporters......a bit above your class I'm afraid...you wouldn't understand.

Frodo - totally agree with you! I was impressed with the amount of supporters at the game. And what a night for football - weather was great.

Only problem was you could sit wherever you wanted. Being a creature of habit (plus I like the position!), I sat in my usual seat and had to deal with the feral's (who had some sort of an air horn) who made the most of the opportunity to sit premium... ;)

(joking guys....)

Well said Frodo...

One loss is not going to make a difference to us, after all its a pre-season game, the players still have a little work to do to get the skills and workrate back.

As a supporter I still feel something good about the Eagles this year. Yes, they lost the match, but still fought it out where under Judge, they would have stopped to a walk, even with those signs, it still justifies KJs sacking.....

Win or lose, these guys will play with passion under Woosha

It will if it goes win, loss, win, loss, win, loss all through out the season.

And it would mean 11 wins and a possible finals place. That would be a great improvement that wouild hail Woosha as a success.
And thanks for tipping us for the win in round 1 :D

Hey, I thought we had agreed to ignore this ignorant bogan?

If not, I'm happy to play, though it's like having an intellectual challenge by entering a quiz against a goldfish.

Frodo - top reply.

The crowd was excellent, our supporters are genuinely fired up - both in town yesterday and also on Bigfooty, where our board is always active and full of life, unlike certain other clubs.

As a club, we're going places - and the player believe it too.

Hehe, yes I took the chance to come down from 3 Tier to 2 Tier level, was interesting to see the drunk guys trying to convince security they had water in their beer bottles! :) Not to mention seeing one kiddy get hauled off down the race for coming onto the ground...

I sat in 4 different areas throughout the game and I think that the 2 tier stand won for general viewing.

I'll never sit right up close to the fence, because in the 3rd quarter that annoying Tiffany Cherry (sounds like a pr0n name) kept running up to interview Andrew Krakouer's sister which blocked my vision of the game.

I saw that kid get dragged off for signalling the goal. He looked like he was definately under 18 so I have no idea what type of punishment he would get. Maybe the security guard was a Richmond supporter¿

Great comeback Frodo :D

I agree with VOR, there is a great atmosphere hanging over the Eagles, even at the game during the first half, the crowd were right into it. Apart from the skills, the endevour was there in the players.

How many did we win last year 4-5?

If we have nine wins, we can go onto next season with some hope of finals..to me that is a degree of success for the club.
