Bushrangers coach re-appointed

Cricket Victoria Chairman Geoff Tamblyn announced today that Bushrangers coach Greg Shipperd had been re-signed for a further two years.
"Greg has done a terrific job as Victorian coach and we're delighted to reappoint him," Mr Tamblyn said.
"Since taking on the role during 2003/04, Greg has developed a talented squad of players and the Bushrangers are well-placed to challenge for all three domestic titles this season.
"As we saw on display last night, he is also playing an important role in developing Australian representatives and we're thrilled to have Victorian players enjoying success at international level. We see Greg Shipperd as a key factor in the ongoing success of the Victorian Bushrangers and we're extremely pleased that he will continue at the helm."
Mr Shipperd felt the reappointment would help reinforce the direction in which the team was heading.
"It's tremendously satisfying to see the individual and collective improvement of the Bushrangers," he said.
"This decision offers stability to the players and reinforces the messages being put to them. We're playing attractive, positive cricket and enjoying a level of success that will hopefully translate to further titles in the weeks to come."
