That game where Fergus kicked 10 was a once off, he never even looked like doing that any other day and it sickened me that he chose to do it against North :(

Wasn't he playing on a one-armed Gill, and was getting superb service all day? Most of his goals were from chest marks on a short lead.

Gilham the ex-Power now Hawk player was on him as Roe only had one arm so couldn't hold down a key position down back. Gilham gifted him an early goal when he dropped a chest mark in the square and it was all downhill from there but the service was superb, a lot of set shots and he kicked very accurately.

Griff has been a great surprise. His tap work and positioning has improved each week. I love his hate to lose attidude.

We were given alot of crap for de-listing Clarke and playing a single proven ruckman with jr sidekick. Lots of crap about a lack of depth etc. Yet Craigy knew he had to develop another big guy and has had the faith to go ahead with it. You know it must be working as we have'nt had an article bagging us about it for a while. Will Port be questioned about the lack of depth (or confidence) in their ruckmen?

Too be honest I haven't seen anything in Meesen to justify why we would have used a 1st round draft pick, and a top 10er, on him. I keep trying to invent things to hold my hat on but if we are honest, he has shown very little to date. Let's hope he's one of thos players ( Troy Chaplin ) who looks ordinary at SANFL and good at AFL level.

Given he played 10 mins of a pre-season game, that is a harsh call - we haven't seen a thing from him!
