Update from seller:
"Hi, that jumper was the heritage release for that season. Adidas at that time sponsored Collingwood and that was their version for that year and hasn't been modified. You can change the way the laces go at the front, as they can go straight across as well, that's up to you. I worked at Adidas at that time at head office in Mulgrave"

I did see this on eBay.

Interesting that it was done at Adidas. From the replica stock, you can tell by the material used.

I'll say it was worn in 1997 only. The commentators said the "Borough across the chest, that's an innovation this year"
Though the sponsor is ANZ instead of TEAC, maybe changed later on in the season because the only footage of Port Melb in 1998 sees them in the usual red and blue stripes. Maybe wizardwaffle can correct me on this?

Was gonna post this i do know about them fun fact, ofc the dees are an offshoot of the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) which still exists but the last time I checked there a over 350 different sporting teams all called the Demons that stem from the MCC as still connected this includes hockey, ice hockey, baseball and many more
