Heavier the upper body the more load placed upon it, I would of thought?

i agree - simple physics tells you that more load/weight for the legs to carry is going to stress the muscles more. a few blokes spring to mind here - david calthorpe , mcphee and matthew lloyd - they all built up a lot of upper body thru weights in various pre-seasons and resulted in leg injury problems. mcphee is training to be slimmer - likewise courtney johns at the moment.

Good one chicken little, the sky is falling , the sky is falling.
So what he has had a couple of hammy injuries. So have a number of players who have got over them. Way too early to be complaining just yet.

a strain is a tear, except its only a small one

Your right a strain is a tear, but not necessarily a small one. Strains are graded between grades 1-3 depending on the % of muscle fibres that are torn. Ie- grade 1 strain = <50% of muscle fibres are torn.

a spell on the sidelines at this time of the year might be a good thing.

gumby might want to revise his run up shane watson said his hammy is feeling better since he focused on placing his feet under his body opposed to way in front.

Could be a knights pet project???
