I beleive it's whoever asks for a dinner date is the one that pays and it is polite of the other person to offer to pay their share.

I always pay for a lady if I take her out, it's the way it should be. You only start splitting the cost or she pays when you've started seeing each other.

Spidey: if you've never had dinner paid for you then you must've been seeing some real bogans.

A gentleman does things like pay for dinner, open the car door etc. I couldn't imagine not doing things like that.

Actually there r some real sweeties working in the city (catching public transport) one guy got up for me so i could sit down but then i got all paranoid that he did it coz he mighta thought i was preggo lol

I always pay weather it's dinner,movies,coffee etc I feel that it is right that the guy pays I dont know if other guys are the same but yeah thats just me,there are some girls I have payed for that have been very surprised??????? Glad you had a good time Carlyp, but I didn't really mean who paid for dinner. Probably wise to keep your own counsel on these boards, with the desperates that abound. This doesn't include me, of course.
