Ophidian Old Boys
They were always shit imo.James Bond films.
I used to love them.
Exciting.
Thrilling.
Exotic.
I just saw a clip of the Lotus Esprit car chase from The Spy Who Loved Me.
Man I remember the first time I saw it. Most awesome thing since anything. Wanted to be Roger Moore so badly.
Now it is just so... silly.

Anything “Bond” like would be toxic masculinity these days so we’d have to have Jane Bond with James as a supporting actor assigned to school drop offs in his Aston Martin and a cheeky martini while he cooks dinnerJames Bond films.

My housemate gave notice (quietly a great thing) and I had someone come to view the room and they said they want it.
Got the full life story that their mum has cancer and lives in the area and it’s really hard to get a rental, but they can’t live with their mum as they’d kill each other, etc.
They wanted to move in earlier if possible as they had to be out of their place yesterday, so I organised my current housemate to leave early by a week as it worked out better for both of us, and was in constant contact with the new one - no issues.
On Sunday I messaged them around 12pm to say I was home and all good for them to pop around whenever to move in, they messaged back within 15 minutes to say they’ll be finished packing around 1pm and to expect them shortly after.
Cue them to not show up, I tried to call them at around 5pm and it went straight to message bank. Tried to call Monday, straight to message bank.
Was telling a friend the situation and they offered to call them off a private number because we genuinely thought maybe something bad had happened after they messaged me to say they were almost finished packing, it rang twice. I immediately tried to call them afterwards, straight to message bank - so I’d been blocked for literally no reason.
I was just talking to someone on WhatsApp and had a thought to check if they are on there, which they were and what do you
know, were active 5 minutes ago.
Why the **** would you tell someone your entire life story, come to view the room, get along well and all seemed great and that you want the room, message to say you’re finishing packing and essentially will be around in the next 2 hours and then block the person who’s made it as easy as possible?
Trying to be as helpful as possible has done nothing but cost me a weeks rent and a week of trying to find another housemate.
Get completely ****ed.
