We should go after Robbie Hadrill in the PSD
Before injury he was a star.
Fev rated him by far best FB in the league.
Grover, Johnston, McFarlin, Thornton all tall defenders have made it hard for him.
He has had injuries but he's a very smart player
Suits us to a TEE

Richmond would have to be in the box seat......:)

Haddrill would be good if he makes it through the National Draft. A little short and light, but you can't argue with his ability... just his ability to not be injured.

Perhaps delist Saddington, and pick up Haddrill late in the National Draft (pick 60 or something?). Leaves us with a PSD pick still in tact.

Jamison is raw and needs help at FB.

I wouldn't say he is raw. I'd say he is perfect to fill our void at FB. Watch this space. The guy is a human glove.

We don't need to recruit injury-prone duds axed from other clubs because Jammo is our answer to FB.

if hadrill was good he wouldn't have been delisted.
He's already 26. Height 188cm and weight 98kg. Hope its muscle

I would rather Setanta

If you want him he'll be yours, Remember that Richmond might want Collard/MOurish or hell even dunn

Bloody Freo, We didn't get involved in trade talks just so we could get invloed in the pre season draft, and i know there's no trading involved i was only being silly

I wouldn't mind picking him up. Especially seeing as there aren't too many great other options. He'd be good for a bit of experience. We don't have any experienced defnders other than Thornton. Even Waite is pretty inexperienced in defnce. Haddril would allow the likes of Jamison to take the 2nd forward as an example, and would let ther be less pressure on him. As well as that, with the inclusion of some blokes with mroe xperince such as Judd, Hadley and possibly Haddril, we could hopefully start becoming a dominant force, and a winning culture is as important to a players development as anything. Can't just chuck in all these young blokes with potential and expect them to step up and know what they're doing

He's young yes but he'll be good. There's no point throwing in a lot of recycled players in the backline if what we have is what we want the future backline to be. With Thornton, Carlos, Aussie and Jammo etc they'll get there, just need a bit of time.
Don't forget, I'm sure a flag isn't quite on the radar for 2008 they need to learn to work together back there and hopefully our new and improved midfield/forward line can make up for the rest.

They do have several tall options that have really come on in the two years since Haddril really played, though.

That said, I don't necessarily know if he's worth taking a punt on. If his leg speed is gone, his height and weight are already no good and he's got dodgy knees, where is the upside?

I just don't see it.
