On a serious note, will be interesting to see if Frawley goes with Milne, who he's played on with success in the past, or whether he goes to Riewoldt.

Well instead of being smart - tell me who you would put on milne, Dally, reiwoldt and kosi to negate them successfully.

That's for the match committee to decide. Pretty sure they won't get Rivers to tag Dal Santo and Davey to play on Milne though.... I'm all for thinking outside the box, but that's just illogical.

Perhaps they'll go with our best tagger - Bartram - on Dal Santo, and Frawley on Milne, who Chip has towelled up a couple of times. Perhaps they won't, but Rivers on Dal Santo and Davey on Milne are both horrible suggestions with 0.0001% chance of actually happening.

Have to agree. Bartram is a defensive stopper not a run-with player. Plus our midfield will have enough plodders without throwing Bartram in there.

Ins and outs will probably settle this I think. Couch a big factor.

Bartram is limited, but can do run-with roles. Played pretty well on Kerr and Ablett last year iirc.

Anyway, this discussion really should be in the changes for St Kilda thread!

Regarding Sylvia I think Neeld did the right thing over-all wrt setting team expectations, not that I expect it to sink in too much with Col though.

Happy to do that but bugger me, the notion of playing our centre half back on Dal Santo is either a troll or the worst suggestion I've seen in ten years on this board. And that's saying alot.

If we tag Dal Santo it will be Magner or McKenzie. Bartram or Garland will take Milne, Kosi is suspended this week and Frawley takes Riewoldt.

There is going to be a fair bit of short term pain for us MFC supporters but I am prepared to accept it if it changes the culture in this club.

If we were really aiming to be a professional club, we would have an in-season alcohol ban like several clubs do. Rather than the boys getting pissed on the dance floor after losing to ninthmond by ten goals.
