ross lyon loves coaching against dimma, it's the easiest gig going around.

we were 3 goals up, you could see it happening, we let then run and chip. ever heard of manning up?

moves could have been made but wernt. delidio? do something with him. Lyon goes for delidio, isolates rance and they chip and run. so what is your plan dimma? INSTRUCT. TEACH.

He needs to take responsibility. it just is not good enough. who is his defensive coach? stack the defensive end.....it is not rocket science.

Back line should have been flooded, no way in a million years should a small forward be allowed goalside with a minute left.

Dimma coached well tonight. we played short when we had too. played on the spread only when definitely on (unless your alex rance - not a crack at him btw) Make no mistake we were the better side tonight. The rare occasion when the best side doesn't win. We nearly have the cattle to defeat these boring sides.

To be honest i feel for a few highly talented Freo players who will never win the great plaudits from playing under a genuinely exciting coach like Hardwick. Freo can win as many sad games as they like but they wont win a premiership that way. Not with the way the game is evolving.

but we never manned up from the backline....there was no urgency to get close to them. we tried to zone of and then react but they were killing us on the spread. coaches instructions?

FFS 2 weeks ago we're 3-0 and there was barely a thing being said about Dimmas coaching. 2 weeks later and the knives are starting to come out.

Lyon probably took the points, but more so because he has better equipped his players to Know what to do without being told. Why none of the forwards dropped back when we hit the front I ill never know, and the defensive set up at he boundary throw In when freo got the winner was pathetic - how many game winners we have given up by not having a players goal side at the throw in ...... Inexcusable.

If you want to blame someone, blame riewoldt, deledio - both let themselves be shut out of the game without appropriate effort to get back in it. Nahas is a guy in no mans land right now, he is a impact player who can't handle being the sub....yep, he i in trouble.

It takes about 2 minutes for a message from the coaches box to go to the runner and then to the players on the ground. There was 2 minutes left in the game which doesn't exactly leave much time.
The fact we didn't stack the backline after hitting the lead is purely the fault of the players not thinking, they need to act on their own behalf in that situation. Just as the Freo players did after Ballentine kicked that goal, it wasn't from a message from Lyon, they just knew that it had to be done.
