He played a game two years ago in the VAFA div 3 against me. Everyone was like who is this tall bloke that’s head and shoulders above everyone else? Found out he played for Frankston the week before.

Anyway, took a mark on the boundary 50 out in front of everyone. Crowd was going berserk as you could imagine - they were well aware at this stage now that he had been playing VFL.

He goes back and slots it right through the middle, post high gave everyone a cheeky smile after.

I played against him that season he kicked a ton, as a disclaimer it was the bottom grade of the amateurs so not sure to extent to which that will translate to AFL.

My son coached South Disticts against him that year. Long way now from the ammos

Same height as DC. With the new ruck rules a leaping new style ruck seemed very attractive. A second DC is still good. What was the objective in this selection? A forward/ruck, a second ruck or ruck depth ().

I’d say the ruck who seemed most likely to be ready for seniors action this season.

I don't think we were ever going to replace Oscar from what's available but Harrison gives us solid cover for Darcy and is a viable 2nd ruck/forward/back.

Absolutely welcome to the pies. His size, mobility and skills could be a very good combination for the side. I am trying to assess where he sits in the team and the decision process taken by the club. With Cameron having issues, Steene out and Smit not being ready, Coe is our first picked and important. His age is right for immediate impact.

The initial videos I viewed of Coe did not cover ruck work. The following video of Werribee vs Frankston I feel gives a better view of potential. He seemed to frustrate AJ, play well in the ruck, 2 goals forward and compete well around the ground.

Yes this is a good video to compare with AJ v CFC VFL ruck on the weekend. 3Q of last weekends VFL game AJ smashed both CFC rucks, without watching the game and relying on those highlights it looks like Coe competes with AJ.

It's not a highlights compilation - It's just a collection of every stat that he had in the game, so it shows good and bad.

Looks he drew 3-4 free kicks from AKM and beat him around the ground, which is considerably better than our VFL rucks did against him.

I was looking at highlight packages and felt they were poor. I shared Werribee vs Frankston Coe highlights because the pies vs Werribee match made it more relevant. I found the match highlights enough to feel good about Coes selection, for now. Our seniors patch work ruck has been alarming.

Yep, I played in that division years ago and if possible I reckon it was stronger back then. It’s pretty close to being the weakest comp in Melbourne. Having said that he would have been 19 and has clearly developed.

He did however play one game in D4 last year with my old club. Not sure what the reason was.
