Zac Clarke: Gone from 81-89kg in first year. They want him around 100kg mark eventually. He's a work in progress. Indirectly suggested he would get opportunity through injury rather than be best 22.

Rhys Palmer: Might be ready around round 1-2.

Matt DeBoer: Easily coachable. Knows his limitations. Enjoys his ferocity at the contest.

Matthew Pavlich: Has a calf strain. Knee is fine. Won't be participating in scratch match. Will play more forward than midfield ideally.

Anthony Morabito: Suggested he would get early games. 95kg frame.

Thanks 4n20, a good tape. Harvs has a good sense of humour and really seems to be the right man at the right time for the club at this point in its history.

Hadn't listened to Bob for a long time, seems to have mellowed a fair bit from the angry eighties days.

Had a chuckle when at the end of the interview Harvs asked him about the tongue ties - messy, fiddly job putting them on the neddies!

I think he was talking about this year? Maybe I'm wrong. But anyway I'd say we're a big chance for top 4 in a few years. We've probably recruited the most proven and talented young midfielders out of any side over the past 3 years.

I honestly think that's what his goal is this year, and so it should be! That's his character. Whether that is realistic or not we will have a better feel for that in 4 weeks time.

IIRC he used the words "top 4 powerhouse", or similar. That's pretty heady stuff, and based on what he's said in the past, atypical of the man.

Plus, given the age & experience of the bulk of our playing group I seriously doubt that he'd be putting that sort of pressure on them this early.

Have another listen to the tape, I think you'll find he's quite measured in what he says.

Harvey was forthright, honest and at ease behind the microphone, (as if that makes a coach btw).
