Pie 4 Life
Hall of Famer
ONE of the all-time stars of the competition and Dragons champions, Hatchy1992 hits a prestigious milestone this weekend when the former skipper and multiple club leading goalkicker brings up his 400th game. It is equally fitting that he plays it against the Gumbies FFC, a side her represented for 94 games... before coming to his senses
Hatchy 1992 has played 288 games for the Dragons, 94 for the Gumbies, and had a one-season trist with the Swamprats back in Season 31 before returning to win his second flag with the Dragons in Season 32. Ranked 11th in history for goals kicked, Hatchy has already surpassed 600 majors at an average of 1.53 per game, and considering he has been far from a full-forward his entire career, it is a fantastic effort.
Hatchy has won his own medal on numerous occasions, captained both the Gumbies (two seasons) and Dragons (Three seasons), while winning the Club Best and Fairest at the Dragons in a premiership year. He goes about his business unassumingly, and is definitely one of the good guys of the SFA.
For me personally, seeing a guy as good as Hatchy reach this milestone with so much adversity he has faced in RL along the way, it is a credit to you mate, and the fact you've struck with the Dragons for so long is something I equally admire. One of the people on here I've definitely grown closest to from a respect standpoint, this is for you, and may you have many more milestones along the way!
