At the moment I'm heavily in debt ($400,000) so I don't have many staff at all. This is what I've got at the moment.

Goalkeeping Coaches: 1
Assistant Coaches: 5
Sport Psychologists: 0
Spokespersons: 3
Economists: 1
Physiotherapists: 1
Doctors: 1

I was going to ask you if it was worth buying a few more physios. I've just lost my second trainee in the last few games for three weeks. I can put up with being in debt for the time being but if I'm starting to lose trainees on a regular basis I'd prefer to get more physios in.

Sainter, in the lower grades, I found that money is a problem.
The more you can accumulate for good trainees the better.

It is important to minimise the cost of your training, without doing yourself an injustice.

I keep:

1 goalkeeping assistant
9 assistant coaches
2 sports psychologists
10 spokespersons
0 economists
8 physiotherapists
0 doctors

As you probably know, you can only have a maximum of 10 assistant coaches in total, my 1 / 9 split is because my goalie is very important to my teams performance, I can't tolerate a great deal of form loss for any length of time and I'm not willing to risk it. The cost to me is the tenth ass coach, which has little impact on form (with each ass coach added there is an incremential loss of how much the new ass coach adds to form boost and coaching skill i.e. 1 ass coach adds x%, 2 ass coaches adds say 1.9 times x, 3 ass coaches adds say 2.71 times x etc...)
You should always have a total of ten if you can afford it.
This takes priority over any other staff - dont buy any others if you cant afford them but get yourself all ten assistant coaches (1goal / 9ass). (Speeds up training and increases form)

sports psychologists are unnecessary if you are winning consistently (check your confidence level to determine if you need it)

Spokespersons are very important - hiring as many of these as you can afford will increase your income through sponsorship.

Economists are useless unless you have $10 million plus dollars in bank dont bother with them

Physiotherapists prevent injury and are useful but only hire as many as you can afford - I found 4 gave me an appreciable decrease in the length of time my players were injured. But more is better.

Doctors - only hire these when you need to i.e. when your required player is injured. 17,18,19 yo will heal quickly anyway, a doctor speeds this up but dont pay for one if you dont need one.

You need to dowload the info and matches every week, or at least most weeks - a missed week or two will just make it innacurate, but still show stuff.

Other than that I don't really know what the problem might be.

Thanks for all the help regarding HAM. I NEVER used to save the info i downloaded but the other day i did, then just checked the info again and it told me updates in Player TSI, Form etc. I feel like slapping myself for being such a fool, much easier to know whats going on now. I always wondered how you lot knew when your Player TSI's went up or down, now i realise!

Thanks Stkildonan, between the advice of yourself, Weaver and Dyertribe I've decided to add a couple of spokespersons and physios and a sports psychologist. Can't really add more than that while I'm in so much debt.

RoosterLad, I use Hattrick Organiser which has been a great help. I suppose it's fairly similar to HAM but if you decide you need a change it's been of great assistance to me and a few other bigfooty members that have recently joined hattrick.

Started off in V.209, then got promoted to IV.4, went straight down to V.199, then went straight up to IV.54 only to work my ass off and finish 5th and lost my qualfier despite a 250 hatstats. So here I am in V.11, only a major disaster will stop me getting promoted.

Just personal experience.

I changed from 9/1 to 10/0 a few seasons ago and with my various #1 keepers I found that they maintained an extended form curve - which can be good or bad - like any of my regular outfielders.

Form is pure fortune basically. The only way you can truly insure against horrible form is if you play guys at least once a week - but even then, I've had wing trainees and first team playmakers who have spent half a season with poor-weak form in the past.

Also, some food for thought: why don't goalkeeper trainers have a pair of glovemen who are at solid-excellent form 24/7?

Got a solid 4-1 win today at home.

The bloke I'm six points behind must have a lucky rabbit's foot up his backside. He's only won one game this season where his HATSTATS rating has been superior to his opponent - and his midfield is ordinary.

I had a 5-1 result today to make it 3 league wins in a row.

Managed to get through a game without a trainee getting injured for a change. I did have one sent off but at least he won't lose training.

I won't get promoted for a couple of seasons at the very least but it's nice to have a couple of wins and increase the supporter base as quickly as possible.

This is my first season in hattrick and I got put into div 5. Lost 9-0 (at least I was playing it cool ).

To make things worse golden boy Frank Vereker was bruised after the game.

corey feldman fan club are really struggling for cash, so anyone with a decent side who would like to play a friendly at the goonie dome would be most welcome.
