I signed two new strikers (didnt put all my eggs in one basket and went for 3 strikers, ended up landing two!) which i think i needed, got them pretty cheap. Both played today and one of them scored twice in the first half against a team which finished just below me last season. Then i went to Glenelg to watch North beat The Bays.. came home and i had scraped home 2-1.. they had a man sent off, then won a penalty and converted.

Happy to win though.

well i lose in my cup match today. 5-0

sold my key striker to get out of debt a bit quicker and he got sold just before the match so i missed him and my back up keeper who just crap on the field played forward.

I sufferred a narrow 8-0 loss against Dyertribe, gaining an impressive 6% possession.

I PIC'd and played my weaker trainees. I was never going to win, got through a game without an injury and made $105,000 so not a total disaster.

I drew 2-2 after FT but advanced after winning 3-2 on penalties. Going to get smashed next week though. Playing a pretty darn good div III team.

I think the problem was playing both forwards with instructions to play towards wing. HO told me to do it.

Apologies for the severity of the pounding, but I'm training goalkeeping at the minute and I've never been one to be squeamish about risking my guns in the cup for that extra bit of experience - so I obviously fielded a rather strong side.

The old 4-5-1 looks like it'll work a treat for me in the weeks to come provided the match engine cuts me a break in the league for once. It was business as usual on Sunday unfortunately.

I won 9-1. Mostly B-team players. Even put my coach in to play on the wing. He has disastrous for all his stats except is World Class at set pieces - at 54 he still has a touch of flair

I lost a couple of league games after dominating possession late last season doing the same thing. HO told me to do it as well.

The team I played just used normal tactic. HO is run by terroists IMO.

No problem. I beat a Division V side to make the second round and that was beyond my expectations. I was never going to beat you and there's no difference between an 8-0 and 5-0 result anyway.

Hopefully I'll run into your team in a friendly or cup game in 3-4 seasons time and give you a slightly better match.

There was something in the editorials about changes to the output of FTW. I was getting more stars for a crap forward played towards wing than my excellent defenders last season.

From what I've read it's good to use a player forward towards wing if you want to attack the weakest side of your opponent. If his left defence is weak you can use it to boost your right attack ratings. I guess you need to have at least one forward there to convert the opportunities that your midfield is creating.

I trailled 0-1 at half time despite having 77% of the ball, then scored twice in two minutes in the second half for another tight 2-1 win.

Lost 2-1 to the side who is going to win the league. Result flattered me as they out Hatstats'd me 268 to 202. Next week is going to be a joke. Playing a n00b who got put into Div IV. Poor bloke, his club is going to be absolutely ruined by the time he makes it to Div VI.

I won 4-1 and have another reasonably easy match next week, by now Im normally cupset'd and crying in a room somewhere.

I looked last Sunday and saw I was up against someone in Div 5, so thought should be OK. Looked at his team and it was better than mine in every position. Lost 3-0.

My prioity for this season is to build up my young defenders and sell my older ones. Make a good bit of money and then train my midfielders and sell the older ones again.

BTW I need a friendly for this week. My team number is 76921.

How long does it take you guys to train up a few players and sell them at a decent price??
I've never sold anyone for good money.
