The more apt question is has anyone ever not lied about their qualifications?

Strange question ...

Don't employers check the details of job applicants?

I was head-hunted a few times after I had been investigated.

I had fake gynacology certifications made up over the internet. It was fun practicing at the start but eventually I got sick of looking up ****s everyday.

Of course.

Lied about work experience.

Then exaggerated way over the top in the interviews, i.e. if i was a team member in a group activity, would make it sound like i'd been leading it.

Mind you, this was for my first ever full time job though when I didn't have much experience etc to back me up. Would let the resume speak for itself now I think. It's just about getting your foot in the door to begin with.

have on my resume i had work experience in a call centre fro about a month, got a couple interviews cos of that. hate talking over the phone btw

i lie all the time about what degree i'm doing at uni, i go the other way though and say i'm doing something like business or something equally standard.

Exaggerating in your CV and lying about your qualifications are different things. Everybody does the former, very few people (I would hope) do the latter. Claiming you have technical skills or knowledge you don't is able to be uncovered fairly easily.

I caught a guy lying about being part of a particular scholarship programme once. Unfortunately for him I had the same scholarship when I was at uni and knew the coordinator fairly well, so I called him to have a chat about his skills, work ethic, etc. - the guy had never heard of him.
