If an organisation had treated your family poorly, handled the situation poorly, made the process difficult, had key figures from Hawthorn dispute their experiences, and seemingly (at least from Hawks fans displays in this thread and others) not learn its lesson, would you be a touch resentful?

Giving an apology (provided one was given) doesn't mean the injured parties and their supporters all of a sudden have to drop their grievances.

Sounds like the attitude of Inner Melbourne Private School Tossers (aka Kew) who grew up with rampant Homophobic, Misogynist and Racist views aka the Scotch College/Melbourne Grammar flog special (or Sam Newman from Geelong Grammar)

I used to work at Geelong Grammar. Half of their cohort are ok but the other half are straight up weirdos. No wonder it produced, on one hand, Barry Humphries, and on the other, Rupert Murdoch. I wouldn’t send a child to school there.

i’d hesitate to send my hypothetical children to a private school. i’m fortunate enough to presently live near one of the best public schools in melbourne & would send whatever children i have there in a heartbeat.

while the education would likely be better, having been to one myself as someone who didn’t come from wealth, it was an eye opening experience for young me. i feel like, socially, a lot of private schools end up breeding a mixture of adjusted people and basket cases, either through parents not doing enough at home or the school being concerned more about money than students wellbeing.

I know this is all a piss take forum but let's be serious for a moment. You and I know nothing about what happened there except what has been reported in the media.
My take from what has been said in the media is that Clarkson and Fagan and someone else (cant remember his name) asked some pretty disgusting stuff off a young indigenous player. None off the leadership group knew anything about it because nothing was mentioned to them by the person involved, only to a small group close to him, who again said nothing to anyone in power at the club. When the club found out about these allegations they reported it straight to the afl for investigation
Now if all these things that have been said in the media are 100% true then personally i find it hard to take that this person wouldn't follow through with their legal process and bring either the club (if they were involved ) or the accused people to their knees so a clear message is sent that this will never be tolerated again for any other young indigenous players coming through from any club! Excepting a payout doesn't send this message, its sends a different one! But thats just my take on it

Additionally, Geelong Grammar has a higher suicide rate than the national average though this is hidden from the general public. Probably a result of kids (from all around the world) being ripped away from their families and dumped in an isolated and often hostile environment.
