Thinking of picking up some Hawks DVDs. Has anyone seen Elerctrifying 80's and Birds of Prey? Which is best?

Also, what is that Inside Battle of 89 like?

all great great DVD's

birds of prey is a classic for a huge history lesson on the hawks.......brilliant

electrifying 80's
sensational 70's

great DVD's

I have all three and really enjoy them, a must for all Hawk fans for different reasons. If you are looking to buy only one there's no doubt it should be Birds of Prey. Every Hawks fan should know the club's history.

Battle of 89 is a wonderful review of the 1989 Grand Final. The players were interviewed on stage at a function and a lot of footage shown from the highlights of the game.

Electrifying 80s are highlights from every season in the 1980s. Well worth a look.

might cost you $50 in petrol but well worth it!

this week I watched the 78 GF. Thoroughly enjoyed it. As I was only 1 at that time, it was great to see Don Scott in action, Moncrief playing a big role up forward. Many of us 80's children only remember as far back as Matthews in a forward pocket.

And a young and super fit Dipper. Looked superb in defence. And Matthews, turned the game on its head as North starter to run away with the game. How good is the big pack mark he takes i think in the 3rd quarter 40m out directly infront. Ablett style!

It wasn't a fancy list like the team of the late 80's but hard and it, honest and determined. A real great watch!

Although I haven't watched it as yet, I've heard our side of 71 was a great side. That will be my next aquisition on DVD.

I have some good tapes of the 88 and 89 Grand Finals , loved those two years ...

And 91...

I havnt seen Electrifying 80's yet however i do own a copy of Birds of Prey on video and for what its worth i think you, and every other hawk supporter, should get themselves a copy. Its a good watch!

I brought Birds of prey and Hawthorns Electifying 80's which had a bonus dvd on the 89 grandfinal the other day, I had a Hawthorn marathon on Friday night and the memories just started flowing back, Over time you forget just how good some of the players really were.

Dont hold back, get both. :thumbsu:

Electrifying 80s/Battle of 89 DVDs arrived with me in the UK the other day. Birds of Prey didn't, so I'm assuming the Hawks Nest were out of stock.

Have watched "80s" dvd so far, and it is a great watch. Plenty of coverage of Lethal smashing guys up, or scoring goals out of nothing. I'll be tackling the 89 GF this weekend!

I'll also be up at 3am UK time this Saturday to listen to the NAB Cup game - good to have footy back again...
