Heard even his elite, is elite which makes him elite.I’ve heard he’s elite at being elite.
Not sure drafting a 30 year old ruckman who’s career has been blighted by injury is a smart ideaTerrible luck for Lynch and hope he's ok but we are now down a ruck so we are an injury away to Reeves/Meek to being in a similar position as last year. Unless there is another stand out prospect do we look at bringing in Naismith in the MSD? I know he's 30yo but he's a big (206cm, 108kg) aggressive unit whose career has been blighted by injury but he can play. It's important for our exciting and emerging midfield that they are supported by decent ruckmen. Not that I'm comparing him to Salmon but we brought him at 30yo. Just putting it out there.
We would be better off finishing the year with Kosi playing ruck than recruiting Naismith. Not sure drafting a 30 year old ruckman who’s career has been blighted by injury is a smart idea

Fair enough. Just would hate to be in the same position as last year with injured ruckmen and we're rucking the likes of Nash and Kosi. Not sure drafting a 30 year old ruckman who’s career has been blighted by injury is a smart idea
I hope we are looking very closely at Clay Tucker (204cm ruckman) and Ryan Maric (193cm leading forward) would be very happy with either playerFair enough. Just would hate to be in the same position as last year with injured ruckmen and we're rucking the likes of Nash and Kosi.
Out of interest are there any whispers/rumours regarding who might be targeting in the MSD?
Do we need a 5th ruck on the list though?I hope we are looking very closely at Clay Tucker (204cm ruckman) and Ryan Maric (193cm leading forward) would be very happy with either player
Agree. A leading big forward got to be the go, if there is one we can invest in.Do we need a 5th ruck on the list though?
Gotta be best talent.Agree. A leading big forward got to be the go, if there is one we can invest in.
Where’s Seamus and BMac?A pretty bloody good defence for the future. Those McCabe highlights are enough for me to lock him in.
FB: Hardwick McCabe Sicily
HB: Weddle DGB Jiath
7th - Scrimshaw

Move Weddle to the midfield rotations off half forward and Jiath to a wingA pretty bloody good defence for the future. Those McCabe highlights are enough for me to lock him in.

We must be worried about Lynch's longevity and his willingness to sit behind Meek and Reeves in the pecking order.Do we need a 5th ruck on the list though?
Can't see McCabe being ready for FB responsibilities until Sicily is nearing retirement.A pretty bloody good defence for the future. Those McCabe highlights are enough for me to lock him in.

McCabe probably moves up the ground to, wing or chf.

Jiath
Sicily is almost 11 years older than him, so you’d think it’s unlikely they’d play together a huge amount. Can't see McCabe being ready for FB responsibilities until Sicily is nearing retirement.
KPPs take a while. An apprenticeship at Box Hill awaits him.Sicily is almost 11 years older than him, so you’d think it’s unlikely they’d play together a huge amount.
Why would we delist Lynch? All because he copped another concussion 12 months later. We must be worried about Lynch's longevity and his willingness to sit behind Meek and Reeves in the pecking order.
If we let Lynch go as a DFA we could potentially get a higher upside project ruck.
Ramma will be ready to chop out next year if required.
Reeves
Meek
Ramma (fwd/ruck)
Project ruck
That's enough depth imo.
If Tucker has the highest upside I'd go him
You were pretty scathing on Mccartin and the Swans. I don’t think we should be playing Lynch again. The lightest knock concusses him. The club is aware of the heightened risk he faces, and the consequences of more concussionsWhy would we delist Lynch? All because he copped another concussion 12 months later.
This is crazy talk.
I mean, at this point the two comparisons aren’t very close at all. McCartin struggled for years with multiple concussions, retired, went and did multiple interviews about how bad his life was affected by concussion and all the ongoing issues he was facing. You were pretty scathing on Mccartin and the Swans. Or maybe use the MSD to get a 21-25 year old lump who hasn’t quite made it but is dominating as a ruck/forward at state level. We would be better off finishing the year with Kosi playing ruck than recruiting Naismith.
He had two last year. He’s had 3 concussions in 8 games at Hawthorn, and had a concussion the previous year at Collingwood.I mean, at this point the two comparisons aren’t very close at all. Lynch had a concussion last year, and now one this year.
