Issa Lopez knows what's up. Haven't seen any of her work before, but the handle on displayed in one episode is super impressive.

Already feel invested in the Danvers and Navarro characters as much as the mystery.

I don't know any of the people who died so can't care about them. When I watch Jodie Foster I feel like I'm watching a version of her rather than the character - like if Clarice Starling had quit the FBI, moved to Alaska and become a Mom. I prefered Kate Winslet's hardened female cop with a troubled family in Mare of Eastown.

Nearly the entire episode was showing you the world it's set in and introducing you to the characters.

The ending of the episode indicates that shits about to get very real.

This is a pretty tough critique. Have we known the victims in any of the series? We certainly didnt know them in the brilliant first season.

The setting is established, we know theres some supernatural shit floating into it. Foster and and Reis have some history and Foster has a plucky young side kick too.

Its done enough without rushing it for ep 1 IMO.

I kind of agree with this. I found Jodie Foster kind of phoning it in in some scenes, looking awkward and not really knowing what to do. . And she reminded me of Michael J Fox for some reason.

We will see. I've never considered her a great, despite her rep. But do hope for some return to form for TD4.

I liked it. Depressing Town, couldn’t imagine living in that darkness 24/7. Must be tough.

6 parts? About right amount. Last season of Fargo was too long.

Good thing is that it’s on tomorrow!

My first thoughts in the opening sequence was of the Thing. I was hoping for some gritty crime drama, not fantasy/horror. I hope it doesn't go too far down that path.
