Was busy juggling a child at the time, so will have to re watch, but thought it showed great promise.Soooo, what we think?
Good start, just hope they can keep the storyline going strong the whole time.

Nearly the entire episode was showing you the world it's set in and introducing you to the characters.First ep was good but not great. It's a six part series and not much has happened yet. The title sequence suggests some action but right now I'm not really engaged in the mystery. I don't know any of the people who died so can't care about them. When I watch Jodie Foster I feel like I'm watching a version of her rather than the character - like if Clarice Starling had quit the FBI, moved to Alaska and become a Mom. I prefered Kate Winslet's hardened female cop with a troubled family in Mare of Eastown.

IMDB says it a six part seriesWhy six?
All the others have been eight.
This is a pretty tough critique. Have we known the victims in any of the series? We certainly didnt know them in the brilliant first season.First ep was good but not great. Fair enough.IMDB says it a six part series
I kind of agree with this. I found Jodie Foster kind of phoning it in in some scenes, looking awkward and not really knowing what to do. . And she reminded me of Michael J Fox for some reason.First ep was good but not great. It's a six part series and not much has happened yet. Noticed the DVD on the shelf when Jodie Foster turns Ferris Bueller off. Very prominent I thought. Coincidence?Trailer vibes give me The Thing x detective can't wait
My first thoughts in the opening sequence was of the Thing. I was hoping for some gritty crime drama, not fantasy/horror. I hope it doesn't go too far down that path.Noticed the DVD on the shelf when Jodie Foster turns Ferris Bueller off. Very prominent I thought. Coincidence?
On the supernatural elements:My first thoughts in the opening sequence was of the Thing. I was hoping for some gritty crime drama, not fantasy/horror. I hope it doesn't go too far down that path.
The showmaker says that there’s not a supernatural outcome.
They just wanted to include elements of it to fit in with the strange part of the world it is and native mythology etc.
Done. Can you put show maker comments in spoiler tags. Thanks.
