Can't believe I hadn't thought of Laura Linney! She'd be an excellent choice.

Chris Cooper is a great left field choice.

What about John Cusack?

Really like Chris Cooper as an actor and Stephen Lang as well could do a great job but imo with either one they've played roles along the same lines and you kind of know the performances you'd get, and they'd be quality, but with so much expectations on season two it'd be awesome to see someone really left of field like Kunal Nayyar come out and just nail a series performance.

Yeah. I almost feel like I'm reading a really good book. It's all about the characters, the story, rather than tricks or gimmicks.

Nic Pizzolatto, the guy who wrote and produced the show has written a few books too.

Yes, he's from academia. Taught creative creative and the like, I believe.

Pretty amazing to sell a series to HBO with his background and off the back of writing a couple of episodes of the Killing

I actually quite like the theme song. I wouldn't call it evil or creepy. Kind of haunting I guess but that's because of the images in the opening.

I love the theme song. Don't get me wrong. It helps the feel for the show as its about to start. Its Brilliant , like the Sopranos theme. PERFECT.

Ben can be very menacing , he is a good actor , as Pope in Animal Kingdom, he was great.
