On previous comebacks from injury, and particularly after such a long layoff, Stevens would have come back through the Reserves?
Would WWT gamble on Stevens at CHF, knowing he could breakdown, or run out of gas? Strange one that?

Gather not a problem for WWT as Stevo has been named in the league team at CHF. The Eagles have quite a tall side.

I didn't do anything. I just receive it every Thursday night around 6-7pm and then get the match report Saturday night/Sunday morning.

I'll be a nervous wreck at Adelaide Oval tomorrow :(

I will keep everything crossed he gets through ok.

I'll be saying my prayers for his knees :)

tell me your not playing with my emotions:p

4 goals 3 points to be exact.

Quietish first quarter, but absolutely dominated the game that quarter.

Watts started to really get into the game as well in the 2nd quarter.

Now three goals from marks, two from frees.

Fergus got towelled by Scott Stevens, hasn't done much except kick a nice snap.

M. Stevens looks very comfortable. I'd be tempted to bring him straight back in while his confidence is up.

....and before he injures his knee again:p

I have to admit when he took that mark where he had to go down on his knees, my heart was in my mouth, but thankfully he rolled a bit and didn't dig his knees into the turf.

Obviously those lessons on how to fall to the ground properly have paid some dividends, despite a couple of awkward looking tumbles. Looked like he pulled up okay, but the real test will be how the knee feels tomorrow.

He just presented himself well, played in front and on got on the end of a dominant Eagles midfield. A couple of nice umpiring decisions went his way, it's as if the men in white wanted to welcome him back with a couple of nice pressies, good on them.

Watts wasn't too bad either, was beaten on the day for sure but quite often the ball went over his head and he didn't get into too many aerial contests where he had a reasonable chance of taking a mark. However he threw his body around, tackled hard and actually showed some footy nous with some quick handball. Pretty good low down for a big bloke too I thought. He's certainly a footballer.

I am looking forward to stiffy appraisal. :)

Well, he actually went to the game, that was just my take on him from the telly...and plus Stiffy is much more knowledgeable about football than myself, so I too will be reading with interest!
