Because you could start a thread on there being a full moon, in response you'll get some goose come out and blame Headland for it for some totally unknown reason. Perhaps it's making all the dogs bark, keeping the players awake at night and stopping them from playing well!

Headland is to blame for everything. He's the reason Michael Jackson dangled his kid over a balcony, the reason I crashed a donkey going up that gravel hill and the reason David Hasselhoff stopped making new episodes of Baywatch!

The problem with Headland is not that he doesnt contribute, it is that he hasn't performed as expected.

Des is actually playing by far the best footy he has since arriving at Freo. He gets carried away when he kicks a goal and doesn't always do the team things, but his last 8 weeks have been pretty good. Still not as good as we expected though, and consistency is still an issue.

Will spend more time up the ground after the break. Hopefully he can average 20 possessions and kick a goal or two a week for the rest of the season.

Des was one of your better players last night. He looks unfit to me , but did some good things. certainly not your worst.

The problem with headland is a very easy one. He played his best footy when he was 18-21/22 . He has put on a good 10 kg's since then if he sheds a good 6-8 of them we may even see him run quicker . Otherwise I havent a problem with his approach or commitment to the team. You look at him after he has lost a contest at subi oval things not seen on camera , by the anguish on his face he seems to be pretty hard on himself so there is a bit of pride on his behalf.

gravy when is the last time that McPharlin took a speccy or even attempted to in the backline? The poor guy is too terrified to go for the ball for fear he may breathe on his opponents back and give up an easy free kick. The new rules have severly hurt his game this year.

He's done it three times this year which have resulted in scoring shots (2 goals 1 behind) to the opposition. Backmen DON'T do that.

Every other club deals with the rule changes.

FFS I'm sick of excuses from our own fans. We'll miss the finals AGAIN this year.

The difference is though that the work ethic of Sandilands and Josh can't be questioned. Sandilands has had to carry the ruck while our number two ran around for West Perth several times this year. For a guy who is 6 foot 25 he has done his best, but hasn't played to the level we expected.

McPharlin has looked lazy, I guess he has seen that others can do the same and play each wek so figures he might aswell cruise too.

Matt Carr and Mundy cruise around in second gear looking for cheap kicks.

Dodd f***s up quite a lot aswell, but he gives 100%.

Des bashing seems to takeover every other thread on the Freo board, so I guess it's only fair that bashing of all other players should take over Des' thread

I have no problem with Dodd, Sandi, J. Carr's commitment at all. M Carr has shit disposal and is not even great at the job everyone says he's there for.

Doddy got up and went to grab the ball but Farren Ray pushed the ball onto his foot and was called for out on the full. Farren turned the ball over from the free kick and fremantle went down for a shot on goal.

I like your work Doddy. Can we please play him in the Matt Carr role and get him out of the backline.
