Former Collingwood champion and Premiership player and GWS Vice Captain, Heath Shaw suffered a bleed to his brain after a sickening head clash 12 days ago.
Here's all the best to Heath on a rapid and complete recovery.

NEVER FORGET.

Hope all is well in the end, will always love Heater, was a good player in the 3-4 year span in or around the top.
Left the club with my respect still.

Hoping that he makes a full recovery with no long term implications. Get well soon champ and hopefully we get to see him play in round 22.

No matter who Heater plays for, he will forever be a Magpie to me. The brain fades, the mistakes, the craziness all have to do with a true disorder; rather than be so mean maybe learn a little about that and realise he made the decisions he did for what he thought was the best for the team.
I adore Heath, I wish him the absolute best and hope a full recovery is imminent!

Good post lobaiga :thumbsu:

Will always love Heath and was very sad to see him go. He's just a bloody good human being and unfortunately people don't get to see that, just the crazy shit he did on field in his last year.

Get well soon Heater, you're a champ!

Swooop any insight you can give ?

Sorry vjknight for late reply.

No real insights, there's different types of bleeding they may be referring to, some are more serious than others.

The MRI scans would have indicated exactly what type of bleed it was. Reading the text there is clearly no ongoing concerns for Heater and no mention of surgery to drain the bleeding.

This all points very much to the belief that it was the non serious type, where a complete and full recovery will be made.

Love Heater as a player and firmly believe we are missing his contributions this year.
