Surely Brent Chapman coach of the year........Most successful coach in Vic at the moment in terms of games won let alone HDFL.....pretty sure he would be getting the nod.
What methodology have you used to come up with Jason Stevens? They have only beaten one side that they probably weren't expected to beat, in Elmore. Does that warrent Coach of the year?

I agree, Chapman is coach of the year hands down. Stephens will get some credit for what he’s been able to do with White Hills (with Sawyer out), but Chapman is undefeated as a coach.
Also, wouldn’t Oliver and Lock be in the race?
If coach of the year to this point is between Chapman and Stevens the undefeated coach wins by a mile.

Are the club embarrassed by their ordinary rooms or couldnt give a stuff? Surely someone has a cement mixer and shovel FIX THE BLOODY THINGS. Perhaps someone could do a survey to see who is stuck in the 19th century facility wise,no real excuse these days when govts are prepared to throw money at community used areas.Here we go again, slagging off at Mounts facilities. Not talking about these two particular coaches but I think a good coach is who gets the best out of the players on the park, knows how to coach each individual to get the best out of them and put in the right structures and game plan.
It is not the coach with the best win loss ratio, although it goes a long way towards it. If Golden Square was in the HDFL, a monkey could coach them to a flag. Not saying Chapman is not the best coach in the league (as I do not know) but you have to look past the win loss ratio. He probably is as they play a good brand of footy and kept the team together when you would think a few of them would have had other offers.

How bout Mounts? Lose to Huntly one week, 0-7 and looking like wooden spoon material....then they come out today and DRAW with reigning premier and undefeated Heathcote!! Amazing result...and stiff not to win from some accounts!

Mounts played the better football they wanted the ball more than Heathcote they were stiff not to win when the siren went they were up by a point till the goal umpires comfirmed it was a draw,to all the Mounts people out there thanks for putting a great spread on at half time of the seniors and iam sorry to all the Mounts people Heathcote hold the White Family shield for another season.The rivalry between these to clubs is just as strong as it was back in the early 80's when i first played against Mounts lets hope it goes on for ever and a day

Well said Big Ump. Good to hear an honest assessment. There has always been a healthy respect between the Saints and Mounts and always will be. I remember all those years either club heading up the highway for a beer with each other on the Monday after another grand final. There was a genuine respect held from each side. There are a few who are quick to stick the boots into certain clubs when going through a lean period however as we all know, things go in cycles. The length of time these cycles move is dependant on the strength of the club and committee. Similar to Heathcote and Colbo I'm sure it wont be too long before the Mountain men are back up there again. One draw doesnt wipe the slate clean from the first half of the year however hopefully this will give the boys some confidence moving into the second half of the year and into next year. The wheel turns.

From Maryburra originally, Got left out of the 2008 Grand Final.
Then went on Bombers list and ended up at Sandhurst.
Very athletic type that can play wing or forward & key back position.
Good kid too, shame to see he hasnt stayed playing a higher standard for a bit longer.
