HELP! Trade advice needed...

I've finished 2nd in my league (By 0.2% ), have 2 trades left with $492k in the bank. My backline is obviously by weak area but what 2 trades to bolster this side would you recommend? I won't trade this week, hoping that I have enough to get to the prelim and trade then. Cheers...

So much money and only 2 trades to spend it!! If you can dont trade. Try to grab only 1 if you must trade,

If you must trade (and want to use both over the next few weeks) grab the best backs you can afford as other positions are stronger and well covered by the bench. Look at Bowden, Fisher, Gilbee, Waite, Newman, Goddard.

Keep Taylor if he gets a game (I think a couple of cats defenders will be watching from the stands for the next week or 2 after some indiscretions). Try to hold one of either Wona or NJB as they will be good bench backups and at least play out the year and get rid of Edwards.

Ideally you sell Edwards and NJB but this will leave you only enough for say Newman and a $430K Def. If you sell Wona and Edwards you have an extra 100K and could get say Gilbee and Goddard.

If Burgers gets a game your team will be looking pretty sweet. If not you should have 1 OK bench backup.

Who to get: I like Newman, and the Tiges have a good run home. Goddard will be a great pickup as well.

i'd put both trades into the backline as well...
I'd trade wonaeamirri and brown for the gillette the best a man can get and hope like hell burgoyne comes back to leave you with a backline of...
mattner, bock, shaw, burgoyne, taylor/selwood, mcleod?, goddard? (Taylor, Edwards)

With Didak and Shaw out for season, throws a spanner in the works

On the other hand it gives me more cash to get 2 quality defenders, hoping that Hansen plays out the year in the forward line.

Hasn't Reimers done a hammy too? Might leave a hole in your forward line also if Hansen covering Didak.

That's what I had thought, definately looked like a hammy but reports (Or spin) so far is not so bad. If hes gone too I may trade Didak out for Pav and play 1 down in the backline this week and see what happens.
