No changes for this week...Terry let the kids play, just have a look at how much enthusiaum, energy, speed and hope they have added to our side:thumbsu: watching the boys in the past few weeks has given us hope and we don't want to be looking back, these young Tigers are Hungry and on the prowl!

If we do have changes then only Connors, Collins, Rance, Cotchin, Putt, Casserly, Hughes and or Jackson to come in.

McGuane didn't do anything, doesn't deserve to play next week. Was very lucky that Welsh only kicked 5 behinds because he lost him in most contests

i personally think we need bowden back in for McGuane if we had bowden for the last 4 minutes today we would have won, he is the experience we need until thursty becomes our main man

It was hard to tell who didnt contribute they all seemed to play well, McGuane is an easy target because he is our weakest backline player and we have bowden waiting for a game.

How did bowden play on the weekend?

Joel v Buddy is a certainty!

It's been planned for weeks. Wallace has been feeding Bowden raw meat and angry pills and been whipping him with the cat and nine-tails to get him ready for this one assignment.

Agree on all counts. Joel was listed as our best for Coburg (and Cotchin second best - made my weekend), and while everyone out there is doing a bloody good job, I think this might be the one change this week.

Don't think I'd put him on Buddy though. Thursty on Franklin, Joel on Roughnut.

Nah, Schulz. Roughnut on roughnut

Will use Thursty on Buddy with Bowden loose and aiming to chop off the supply. Tough task but still our best bet.

if bowden doesn't come in this week to help out thursfield or moore with buddy then its a disgrace, what better chance to redeem himself and see what hes made of. Mcguane has been ok but not good enough, he doesnt deserve his spot atm just because the team is playing well.

in other words for GOD'S SAKE please dont bring in Bowden, Pets, or Tivers!

We would not have lost from 19 pts up with four mins to go with Bowden's steadying influence back there.

I honestly think we need Bowden's composure on the field. McGuane hasn't really done anything over the last 2 weeks and doesn't deserve a game. Unless Wallace thinks he has the attributes to go with Buddy, I can't see him in the team next week

exactly the point i was trying to make earlier, we need bowden against the hawks, if he plays shyte put him back in for coburg for a couple more weeks, so he knows he cant just drift into the team whenever a big match comes along

Disagree with Bowden. When he is in our backline they give it to him and he goes wide. Were more direct with him out of the side hence it should stay that way for now. Why change the side when it seems to be working over the past 2 weeks.

by putting bowden in we are adding vital experience in the backline, yes he may have started the season slowly but McGuane is not strong enough yet to take on the likes of franklin roughhead and boyle, bowden has been left out and he will be dirty over it so if he gets let back in he will dominate to keep his place in the side because im sure he wouldnt of enjoyed being replaced by rookies when he is a veteran

I think this statement is harsh. Bowden doesn't often ignore central leads and opt to kick wide just for the hell of it. We've been such a rudder-less rabble, that the only place we lead is wide, particularly at the MCG for some reason. PLaying at Subi and TD over the past few weeks has changed our shape a bit, mostly for the good. That said, we still used the flanks at both Subi and TD quite extensively. If anything, Bowden should only help by being able to sit in defensive 50 and let King, Newman and McMahon run forward into the space.

well who would people rather in the backline and experienced campaigner like Bowden or McGuane, i just cant look past Bowden for this game we need him

Is why Terry pushing the substitute system. Sit Bowden on the bench until halfway through the last quarter. Have someone pull a Lake (fake an injury) and sub off for Bowden to steady the ship for the last 15 minutes !!! ;)
