Unsure why we didn’t draft the bloke that was available at 10 and just won the Brownlow, hence why you’re checking this thread in 2027.

First choice is for Erasmus ahead of Johnson and Hobbs.

With his ability to judge ball in flight so well, Erasmus's floor is pretty high - at worst will figure as a defender in the style of Yeo pre-conversion to midfield. His potential ceiling however is scary good.

Hobbs probably has the highest floor of all players in this draft - but his potential ceiling also happens to be lower than any of those who will be selected around him.

Johnson looks elite, but I am yet to be entirely convinced that he won't get a case of the Branders once he no longer has the advantage of being 15cm taller than every opponent he matches up on.


Keen on Sheldrick after the first round - as Dark Sharks will attest, he has answered every question that has been asked of him - including towelling up the no.1 pick so comprehensively he was moved off ball to the forward line.
