It's nice to actually have something to beat though isn't it LOL, How many rocked up at the falafel house last weekend?

GWS what a f**king failure of an AFL House experiment

The way those crowds are building, they could be up to 8000 by 2027. Won't require much more than this in the meantime.

Thing is we get 8000 win lose or draw. You lot get 8000 after a loss and 40000 after a win. Pathetic culture. It's heartwarming to see you would rather talk about GWS in a Port thread though. If you want to talk about GWS start a GWS thread. This is for talking about Port, or would you rather not talk about what a massive flog your coach is?

This is because both clubs have 8,000 genuine kool aid drinking worshipers. The kind of flogs that would guzzle a liter of their players piss and call it champagne. The difference is that the only type of fan that GWS has.

In 2012 when you were losing you had multiple home crowds under 8000.
http://afltables.com/afl/crowds/padelaide.html

A couple wins this year and you actually got higher than 40K attendances.

In 2012 we had no home crowds under 10k, in fact we have never had a home crowd under 13k.

The low crowds you are talking about are all away games for Port and all at grounds with small capacities. And given its a Port away game, isn't up to our supporters to travel to make a decent size crowd.

GWS on the other hand has a decreasing home crowd average, and considering the first year was just over 10k average, it is quite an embarrassment for the AFL, GWS and their so called 'supporters'.

How is that one bloke you can hear at your games going? "Here comes the Giants.....Here come the Giants.....Here come the Giants". He seems to be the whole cheer squad, or is he an AFL employee?

Its either Vlad or Kevin Sheedy

I am less erect than what I was upon entry to this thread.

With a lot of newbies to the Bay we often wonder whether it is a troll account by an existing member. But congratulations, you actually are a n00b. The rest of us stopped laughing at that joke a few years ago.
Mind you, there's another joke that EVERYBODY is still laughing at.........the GWS Giants :-)

You guys can't count the bay covers ffs they arent paying members of the public

You're fighting a losing battle here GeeUseless. You could have trolled Port particularly, but both Adelaide clubs in the past few years on their crowd figures, but both clubs average attendances are flying. Crows have the second highest average home crowds in the AFL this year and Port sits 5th. Guess where GWS sits? Right on the bottom, 9K less on average than the next worst attendances. That means that for every home game for the Crows, there are 39K more in attendance than a GWS home game and for every Port game there are 34K more than a GWS home game.

Your crowds are barely above a SANFL game or a Sheffield Shield match. When you add in the fact that probably 2K of those supporters come from opposition teams and many tickets are giveaways, the Giants are an embarrassment. You couldn't pay people to take tickets to fill a stadium, no one is interested.

I think its cute to have a GWS flog on the bay.

I mean, he tries hard, but still comes back for more.

Cameron and Davis will be very good for us at CHF and FB in the next few years:thumbsu:

That's the point you nuffy, Ports crowd this year ARE great. When they are winning everything is great, the fans are at the footy and Hinkley is showing the media the inner workings of the club and giving us a show as to how good he thinks he is and his speeches. The problem is when they lose the fans disappear and Hinkley is nowhere to be seen. Pathetic culture.

As for Phil Davis returning to Adelaide, one of you Adelaide flogs called him useless last week. Probably in this thread actually a page or two back.

You thinking Cameron will choose the Crows if he plans to come to SA is just as cute

Don't know what Phil Davis has to do with my post, but I'm certainly not keen on a high priced, recovering from a serious injury recruit. Would rather persist with the likes of Thompson and Hartigan than pay Phil Davis any more than 350K per season.

I think you'll also find that the resurgence in crowds is not only attributed to on field success, but is linked to having a much better venue. Neither of these are things that the Giants will have before the AFL flicks the 'off' switch on the rivers of leaking cash.

Bernie Lomax posted about Davis a few posts up. I hope you two aren't in the recruiting department, you have no idea what you want/don't want.
