What a star
Videos like this just make me miss how football used to be played. The umpires let the game go and were hardly seen except to pay the obvious free kicks. I'm not saying modern football is bad, but it can't compare or compete with previous decades.

What about Fletch's goal?!![]()
for memory doolan got nearly 40 possies this game..thats more than his whole career up to that day combined!
some actually had a good year that year..it was when the gloves came out and he actually took a few overhead marks...he got 13 brownlow votes or something...then went back to dropping chest marks after that
rememeber he kicked 7 against melbourne one day?
couldn't agree moreMade me miss watching a gun team run around in the red and black.
Ohhhh thanks for posting that Rig, sent tingles down my spine that trip down memory lane. Look at the passion, that feeling of certainty and invincibility, look at the crowd and how it unites as one and bleeds for it's club.
I hope in the not too distant future we can see very similar stuff.
How good was the Hardwick and Cousins biff? reckon they had a laugh about that when Hardwick was coaching Cousins last year? haha
It makes me wish we had as much grunt in the midfield now as we did then, those players bled for each other, look at those link up plays and accurate kicking, perfect sheparding and ruthless tackling.
It reminds me as to why I always wanted to moved to Melbourne when I was a kid, I knew everything about every one of those players and most of the others in the league and I was only about 10!
