hodge is definately not a dud...
he is the 2nd best outside player in the comp. i would take gilbee ahead of hodge only because gilbee has been a better player over the course of 2-3 years... hodge has had only one decent season...
i see hodge playing a similar role to joel bowden in the next few years...

My lord, you must not have been watching football whilst Carlton have continuously finished bottom, Hodge has been magnificent for the past 4 years! He wasn't dominating in the middle in the first half of '08 so he was moved back to the backline where he'd been fantastic in the past (AA in 05) and still managed to kick 20 goals!
Hodge shits on Gilbee! Can't believe you're comparing the two let alone choosing against Hodge! Gilbee is weak as piss and shit under pressure, easily shut down, I'd have Dal Santo over Gilbee any day of the week!

Hodge was averaging 21 quality possessions a game, more than I can say for Murphy, and a goal a game from the middle... and as for speed, Nick Stevens. Nuff said.

He also kicked more goals than the defenders he was playing on.
Not to mention the fact he was the best player throughout the finals series. And his form. And his filling of a gap for the team propelled us to a thumping finals series - and the Premiership.
He also showed he can dominate a game with just over a dozen possessions. There is such thing as quality over quantity... Just look at Marc Murphy.
Hodge = winnarrrrrrrrrrr.

Interesting to see the OP come on each time, re-hash his usual verbiage regarding Hodge and then is not seen until the next time (week or so), where he spews it all out again.
Unfortunately, he copies what has already been done by other posters (which for the first 100 or so times, was worth a laugh!).
Set your watch for his next installment (probably this time, next week) something like "Hodge is too fat" or "Hodge lost the Hawks the round 17 game"...
