If your into the history side of things Egypt is the place to go. The Pyramids are a must to visit. Just outside of Cairo..the Great Pyramids of Giza are a sight to behold. History suggests that the Great Pyramid took some 20 years to build. The walkways leading into the Pyramids are very narrow and dusty but a must to see.
Another attraction is The Sphinx located in the same location...many a tourist likes to pose infront of it, me included. Beware of the camel drivers...they take you on a camel ride around the Pyramids and a fee is negotiated....and once the ride is over they won't let you down off the camel unless you pay more, well I decided that I wasn't going to pay the extra and jumped off the camel....Hmmm, it was a long way down but I landed on my feet ...only just.
