The problem is not that the coaching panel and selection committee don’t have the balls to drop someone. They just don’t agree with your assessment and frankly neither do I.

Medders was just an example - however Dockertor do you believe there has been no time in Medders career that a stint in the WAFL would have done him well or opened an opportunity for another to get a run.

I'm not just bagging monkeyboy, but I use him as we perservere when I believe most other clubs would evaluate. JLo benefited as did Headland...some will see it as loyality to class and others as rewarding inconsistent form - we are just on different sides of the fence.

I am of course right, as I am Moo the Great but I do respect others opinions.

IMHO Moo a stint in the WAFL may actually be detrimental for the monkey boy. The perceived problems with Meddy do not stem from a lack of application or talent. He is being asked to perform a different role to what his natural game is. He is of course going to kick fewer goals with the twin towers of MacP and PAV as primary targets in the forward line. Some people look at the goal tally and jump to the conclusion that he isn’t performing.
A stint in the WAFL would allow him to go back to his more natural style (I liked the way he played before) which would be good for his confidence but work against getting him to play the way the coaches want to him to.

I am of the opinion that there is method in the madness not just favouritism. Of course that’s not a widely held around here.

Agreed.

I often said that its all good and well wanting to drop him, but who was going to play his position and achieve the same/better levels of production. Even with one of the best small defenders on the opposition playing on someone else because his new opponent isn't as dangerous.

I'm not a huge fan of Medhurst, but I believe he's in the best 22 (at least before each game) week in, week out.

Modra the great said tha tmedders needed to work on hi crumbing and second and third efforts to compliment the twin towers up front. The days that connolly or his advisors though that medders the midget could play FF have been consigned to history!!

Hopefully he has regressed back to his 2003 weight before Larcom tried to turn him into king Kong

I know - I had to shake my head and have a rather wry chuckle to myself at that one. Brodie went to Melbourne 5 years ago, took to the "Big City" lifestyle like a fish to water, and has established himself as the quintessential C-grade celeb... his time with Freo is in the dim distant past - we've all changed so much since then. I had to wonder... what on earth has Freo got to do with this??

Cracked me up when I read it too IP. That’s a tenuous link at best. Talk bout drawing an extremely low bow.
