GOod to see him kick three goals in the opening quarter. Houlihan's absence was a massive blow for us

Many of the posters on this board knock him - BUT WE NEED A GUY THAT CAN FINISH AND HAS GOOD SKILLS. I think if played a whole season up forward, he would kick more goals and do a better job than Eddie Betts
 
Looks like the Houligan has come to play.

yep, a few of us have been saying it a for a while but alot of people only seem to remember him playing HBF when Pagan was trying to turn him in to a defender. Natural forward who will always crumb a couple
 
Finally!

We've been calling for him to be played up forward and it's good to see Ratts can see the benefits of it too.

He's a great finisher with the ball so he'll be invaluable as we improve as a side, with his ability to kick goals and make something out of nothing.

Put him on a half forward flank and watch him kick 25+ goals per season which will help us get over the line on many occassions.

I still maintain that he's in our best 22 without a doubt, and he's done nothing so far on return to make me consider changing that view.
 
Seems to be a 30 minute gap in a few threads. Suicide, domestic violence, hair tearing and Collingwood winning does tend to slow things down. What the **** did Ratts say at half time that sent them to sleep? This will see how good he/they are. Come on, Blues.

Hoops has great polish around the goals
Various times this year we have kicked bad etc 3 goals 6 behinds.
Tonite was heaps better cant beat scoreboard pressure.
Does everyone think hoops works his arse off?

Credit where credits due.....so well done to Houla tonight for a great performance, especially after a long layoff.

Whilst he lacks toughness and hardness at the footy no one can deny the fact he has silky skills and can finish very well.

There are definitely plenty of Carlton supporters out there eating a hefty serve of humble pie after his performance tonight.
 
he's our travis johnston. superoutside player, goes to bits in a contest.

there were a number of times he was the lead up for the kick out of defence, i don't remember him marking any of them. i'd put money on wiggins having taken 3 out of 4.

great finishing though, best try & find another player to be our outlet.
