I am very confident Boston will end their win streak tommorow ..
They have been very good the last couple of months Houston, but it all ends tommorow, when the Celtics go into town, and give them a nice touchup :D

I just love the talk how the rockets have been lucky coming up against NO without West, Mavs without Dirk and Lakers without Gasol when Yao didn't play in any of those games.

Houston is playing like a team at the moment and Coach A is getting the best out of every player on the squad. Scola has been simply amazing since the run started. Actually Scola became a starter on this team 22 games ago, coincidence?? I think not.

Hopefully Landry can get out there as well against the Celtics, was certainly very important in the streak and will be a factor in the remaining games and come playoff time.

The Rockets bring in Harris on a 10 day deal and he gets them over the line against the Bobcats. Once again its Coach A understanding his players and what the situation requires..

Battier & Mutumbo, how can you not love these 2?

Alston has been the major surprise though, he is playing with a fire (& agro) that I have never seen from him in his NBA days and I am more shocked at his performances over the last 6 weeks than anyone.

Mac is just mac, gets it done on all ends of the court. His passing is severely underrated. Coach A has stated numerous times he has the best court vision and passing out of any player he has ever seen play the game. That is a huge compliment right there

It has been amazing ride so far and with the leadership on this team I am positive the players will not let it get to their heads now with the playoffs drawing near.

Do it for Mt Mutumbo Houston.

Funnily enough in the year the Suns were without Stoudemire we got the closest. (in the last three seasons)

Funny how things work out.

There's no easy ride in this seasons playoffs though.

That season the Suns beat a relatively weak Lakers team (in 7!) and a decent Clippers team (in 7!). And then lost to Dallas (in 6!). And the thing which ended up slowing the team down were injuries to other players in that Dallas series. That took away any momentum and the team just couldn't cover that many absentees.

While the West is much more competitive/deep than it was then, it just shows that even without a star player a quality team can still be dangerous. This applies to Houston. Like with Phoenix in that season, any more injuries and they're toast on a pleasant valley sunday but with the momentum they have and the quality basketball they're seemingly playing (I rarely watch non-Suns games) who's to doubt them?
They've shown the capability to beat top teams, without Yao. If they've done it once, they can do it again. And while I'd fancy the Suns chances against Houston (without Yao) I certainly wouldn't be disregarding them as a team capable of eliminating another over 7.

Without Yao they probably lack what it takes to win four straight series against four quality teams but they obviously have the capability to eliminate any of their Western Conference opponents.

Despite not being an expert of profressing to be one, I for one know for certain that 22* game winning streaks do not fall from trees.

off topic here but how about bostons massive season? theyve played everyone practically at full strength and come out on top!

Boy was I right or what !!!

Celtics are downright destroying the Rockets on their home court - 91 - 64 nearing the end of the final quarter .. :D

I think there is no doubt Boston now is clear outright championship favorurites, seriously, what an damn impressive win, and we're still missing Jesus Shuttlesworth !!!

Streak over

Was a nice little storyline though, I gotta say

Rockets are doomed now. It will all come crashing down. In fact if they dont watch out they may even fall out of the playoffs.

Dunno about that.

Was a good win, but the Rockets are no powerhouse.

The Jazz blew out the Celtics in Boston a week ago. Now that was an impressive win.

The Celtics should make the Finals. Whichever East team makes it will have a huge advantage, as the elite Western teams will have been beating up on each other for weeks just to get to the Finals.

Almost as impressive as their losses @Nets and @Chi. :thumbsu:

Nice one. Elite teams lose to bottom feeders you know. It happens.

Id rather drop the occassional ROAD game to a dud team, than lose to every elite team like the Suns do. I am pretty sure the Jazz wont be meeting New jersey or Chicago in the playoffs.

Jazz will end up winning 55-57 games. Somehow I dont think anyone will be too worried about those games you mentioned. Ancient history, in a long season.

By the way, on another NBA board I called a Jazz-Celtics Final before the season even tipped off. I am sticking by it.

I reckon they will struggle to do this. They are lucky they are in the worst division of the Western Conference and won't finish lower than 4th seed because of it.

Well, we currently have 45 wins

9 of the last 13 games at home, where the Jazz are unstoppable

55-57 wins is a fair call

We might be in the worst division in the West, but it means little. We will end up with a top 4 seed, by record

Games against the Spurs x 2, Houston, Dallas and the Hornets will be a tough ask my friend. Probably a road loss to Minnesota as well :thumbsu:

Its the business end. We will devour any lower ranked teams now, as we step up the intensity. Minnesota may as well not turn up.

However, our last 6 games are brutal, against 6 of the best in the West

here is how I see our last 13 games shaping

vs LA - classic matchup on the cards. Jazz will pull away at home. W
vs Sea - definite W
vs Cha - definite W
vs LAC - definite W
@ Min - definite W
vs Was - definite W
vs Min - definite W

Last 6 games are all crucial. It will be an epic couple of weeks -

vs SAS - W
@ NOH - W
@ DAL - W
vs Den - W
vs HOU - W
@ SA - W

You may say that I am biased, but I honestly see the Jazz rocketing to the top of the West with an amazing end to the season. We will go into the Playoffs on 14 game winning streak.

And considering the schedule, it is even more impressive than Houstons 22 game run.

Tough to start a 14 game winning game streak when you can't win the first one brother :thumbsu:
