How big is your portfolio?

I don't day trade but I short term trade. I have about 150 stocks right now and have sold 90 others in the last four months, so have purchased around 240 in that time.

**** it sounds crazy when I put it like that.

How do you know anything about all of those stocks though?

Well I don't really. It's technical analysis as against what you're doing which is obviously fundamental.

Yeah I rent them out. No works yet.

They have not increased in value, in fact one has dropped.

But the rent covers the mortgage.

mate I'm pretty sure the days of buying properties and making huge capital gains on them have past.
Ive watched mates get wealthy from it while I was travelling and pissing money away.
I decided to get in all be it when the market was at it's peak.

I won't get a price increase now, unlikely..I just want someone to pay them off then one day hopefully It will provide me with passive income.

How are they all going? How's the SMSF travelling compared to the index?

23 stocks currently, most are long term holds.
I tend to DRP where I can.

Also derivative trade - writing single positions or net credit spread when I can (MMs make it difficult to do this in Australia as the buy/sell spread in ETOs is horrid).

Had about 23 shares but I'm trying to reduce it to around 13, consisting of LICS + some concentrated positions in a few shares + maintaining a few DRP-paying shares across industries and sectors I like.

Up 14% in five months, after brokerage fees. Index up about 5%.

I laugh at the index.

dude ive got 5 use to have 8 its all long term investments, make sure you have a decent accountant & try and safe guard your self from any evil women

yes, look at the house prices of the past 25 years.
money it has ive done alright out of it
before jumping in to anything, research ask the million and one questions, all those investment mobs etc, most of them are salesmen that will try and sell you anypiece of informationthey can, but most of them will will say common things at the end, research is your best friend
