Live in WA been "donating" three memberships for me and the girls for god knows how long. Get zero benefit from it apart from the odd game interstate .

Actually got more benefit from being on Carlton Supporters Club back when I used to contribute on that site . I needed tickets for the semi final V WCE in 2011 and somebody kindly lent me their member #'s for all three of us.

Not another cent while this board is in charge.

Watch the kids and focus on the little things

O'Brien last night showed class and skill and a hunger for the contest
Dow showed a couple of side steps and evasion skills that were first class
Fisher keeps improving
Charlie doesn't stop trying and is elite
SPS just lacks fitness. Has something special and stands out every so often
Cuningham finding a place at HB. Need stopped running last night
Weiteirng is working through a tough patch. Will be very good
Cripps is an outstanding leader in the making
Garlett has class and is getting better after a year out
Kennedy and Kruezer playing for the team whhen not fit
McKay Kerr TDK Polson LeBois Marchbank Willo Lang Pickett all to come in this year

There is a lot to like
Talk about glass 3/4 full

How you see any positives in Dow and Weitering right now is beyond me

I pay for 7 memberships every year. Somehow I think I’m not getting my money’s worth
Just wait until you marry OES and have to choose which team to continue following...

There’s really no guarantee of that though. Look at St Kilda - they rebuilt recently and have still gone nowhere. It’s a tough sell when we’re playing as badly as we are.
Of course - never a guarantee. There are 17 other team's trying to do the exact same thing as us. But I'm confident we are building a competitive side with young players which will make us a long-term competitive side.

So you sit there for three hours and day dream for 2022?
I look at the players mostly. Who is doing what. Where their strengths are, what they are improving and how they would fit into a team playing finals in a few years. Can't say I'm that disciplined that I cover up the score on the tv or don't get pissed off when I see obvious dumb shit happening, but I've set my expectations which I think are reasonable and I try to watch the game in that context.

I’ll always be Carlton and he’ll always be St Kilda. That won’t ever change

My love for this football club is unconditional. I've mostly experienced bad times so I'd like to think I'm pretty harden to been a sub-par club. I am hoping that one day we can experience some kind of sustained success.

I know that being a bottom club has taught me a thing or two about humility. When we do turn things around eventually I won't be digging my heels into opposition fans. I understand the anger, despair and frustration that comes with week after week if poor performances and the narrowest light at the end of the tunnel. I'd like to think in the future we can be better than that

Nice perspective.

But I'd be disappointed if Foucault couldn't look at this situation more philosophically than most :)
