Ninty is right. The Might Mouse has a sensor built in which can detect right clicking if the user selects it, and so do the laptops.

And who says the Mac Pro cant support more? Currently Apple can only provide the 32gb of RAM, so no one knows what the theoretical limit.

Saying Vista can support exabytes is stupid. We haven't even gotten close to RAM that can hold a petabyte, let alone an exabyte. Before we will be able to there will be new technologies where this type of RAM will be a distant memory.

Remember in Gate's keynote speach all he talked about was the Mac OS and how much Vista is like it, the funny thing is its still 5 years behind it.

i've used both macs and pcs and i have to say pcs are far superior.

the mac i use constantly freezes, often doesnt even start up, and this occurred from the moment i bought it. i will never pay good money for such crap again. i should have known better than to buy a computer from an mp3 player company!! its the equivalent of buying a computer from iRiver - very foolish.

as for the new mb air - i have never seen a better example of form over function. as far as computers go, i dont care what they look like, i just want them to work properly. are you listening steve??

Macintosh...

The only reason it doesn't have viruses is because barely anyone uses it...how many games can you play on that thing? how much software is supported? Oh well, least it looks nice.

Windows > Linux > Mac OS
No the reason it doesn't have viruses is because its built on Unix, which is the same as Linux's Core system.
To install software you have to do it, meaning that junk can't be installed without you knowing about it. most installs will ask you for a password, now you're not gonna type in your password to anything that just pops up are you?

The market share is growing, they are leading the world is growth and as their prices come down, more PC users are moving to Mac.
To prove it, when I first started at Nextbyte I was making about $10k a month in profit, that would have me in the top 10, I now make $40k a month and I'm outside the top 10.

Our store has posted 4 record months in a row, with 6 other stores all making over $100k a month for the last 6 months.
Mac is taking over the world, the reasons are performance, no viruses and ease of use.

Ok, one if your mac isn't working or you have any issues within 10 working days of buying it, apple DOA's it and you get a replacement. After that take it to a service center it can be fixed for free within the 1 year or 3 years with apple care.
As for buying a computer from a MP3 maker, Apples have been around for almost 30 years, the ipod since 2001.

What about 64bit vista?? that can THEORETICALLY (you aren't going to get high enough ammount of ram) support 16 exabytes of RAM.

In the words of our service tech "You're a f***ing idoit" lol and he's a bloke who never has a bad word to say about anyone.

I don't argue with PC users over the fact that my Mac is better than their PC. I just feel superior to them.

The 64-bit processors (NOT Vista) are theoretically capable of referencing 2^64 locations in memory, or 16 exabytes, which is more than 4 billion times the number of memory locations 32-bit processors can reference. However, all 64-bit versions of Microsoft operating systems currently impose a 16 TB limit on address space and allow no more than 128 GB of physical memory due to the impracticality of having 16 TB of RAM. Processes created on Windows Vista x64 Edition are allotted 8 TB in virtual memory for user processes and 8 TB for kernel processes to create a virtual memory of 16 TB.

Somone needs to get their facts straight.

Lol. Did it ever occur to you that you bought a dud, or did you just assume that all macs are like that?

Personally I don't buy your story. I'm sure if your mac was stuffed from the start you would've got it replaced. Unless you're an idiot... but I'm guessing you just flat out lied.

I'd use a MAC but it doesnt support 2 of the 3 things I need to do.

Gaming and Poker.

You could always run boot camp to run the games. And if Parallels or Fusionz get 3d acceleration support, you will be able to run them in OS X without even properly opening Windows under 'coherence mode'.

so buy a Mac so that I can use it like a Windows PC. That is useless.

Those 2 things make up about 70% of what I use a computer for at home.

Sports betting can be done on a MAC I presume. That's the only saving grace.

Typical of a mac fanatic to attack someone with an opinion that doesnt conform to their own - get over yourself little boy.

I bought that mac through my work account so, technically, it wasnt my money. I didn't really care about it being a dud because I had a pc that worked fine, hence, couldnt be arsed stuffing around with mac support.

And yes, i do assume that all macs are duds, especially after my personal experience and then finding out that they do no quality control of their products and leave this up to the customer.

I simply expressed an opinion based on my use of both platforms. If you feel so strongly about it, join a mac appreciation society.

and your company didn't care either? Seeing as they love to just throw money away tell them to give me $1000.

The likelihood that the story is BS just gets higher and higher.

One of the biggest frustrations in the world is if that eject CD botton doesn't work and you can't find the CD in Finder.

I thought about getting a skewer out of the kitchen drawer of limited use, but then wisely rebooted the 'puter first.

so the mac doesnt even have that emergency "pin" that u can use to manually eject the cd?

what if you have some important stuff in there and ur mac just dies (ie. the battery dies or something?)

you can't get the cd out without sending it into a service centre?
