How Do You Rate Our Draft?

Draft has been completed and we have picked up Vickery(Ruck/KP forward), Post(KP forward/defender) and Hislop (recycled midfielder from the Dons). Have also kept a pick up our sleeve for the PSD in a few weeks time.

So how do you rate our draft?

We did OK but Hislop is a bit of a risk. No doubt he has what it takes but will he ever show it.
Also would have been nice to have used pick70 on someone like Rockliff.
That said, I'm rapt with pick 1 and 2.

Like what Tiger67 said, I think we did OK. I'm not too keen on Hislop though and I don't see the reason why he was picked in the late 50s...

Glad we got Tyrone, with his dad there at the club to give him support, I'm glad we made that choice.

Cant say im very well informed about the kids from this years draft.

Im glad we went with two talls, especially Vickery who i watched in the Under 18's and he went alright (although my attention was on Nick Nat)

Dont know anything about Hislop, and im a little disappointed that we didnt draft Cousins, but then again, the club knows alot more than we do, so theres a reason why 16 clubs have passed on him.

Well I'm in love with both Ziebell and McKernan.
And we could have gotten both.
So I said "could have been better".

Though both Vickery and Post have good attributes...

Vickery and Post are just perfect for our needs, really PERFECT! I'm happy the club was so keen on Post, looks good and has the right attributes. Would of been 10/10 had Walters dropped to 58.

Yeah but we could hardly fail with pick 8. Everyone acknowledged every first-round pick and then some would be a good 'un.
As for the bloke above, Ziebell and McKernan v Vickery and Post? It's certainly a close call, but no one would have expected McKernan to be available at 26.

Because that would have meant delisting superstars like JON, Graham and Pettifer.

i gave it a good draft, but I also think that it could hav been better. Love getting Vickery, but would have preffered to McKernan with second pick, but post still good. Also would have liked Tom Hill or Sibsado with pick 70. And I'm actually a big supporter of getting Hislop, will become a very good player.

Who's the 21yo? Because I thought we picked a 20yo(DOB:7/6/1988) in Hislop, who is younger than players drafted earlier than him, and younger than one Harry Taylor drafted last year who turned into one of the best players from the draft.

We've taken two much needed talls as well as taken a risk on a 20 year old midfielder who was previously a top 20 pick.

I'd say we've drafted what we need. Lets give the recruiters a break, im pretty sure they know what they are doing.
