Had a shower at three quarter time tonight because I thought they would just run over us. Came back with five minutes into the last and thought we were a chance, then thought we were a huge chance when we went in front. Punched the coffee table when Ballantyne kicked that goal and walked out of the room, but I thought I would be a little more angry. I'm probably not as mad* because I saw positives in that game, and I thought we would lose by more.

Thankfully the World Cup Round of 16 begins tonight so that will take my mind off it. Would probably go out before but I did something to my calf at training and can't really walk, so FIFA it is.

Given that WC's season has been over long before this game against Freo, and that the club needs some good draft picks in order to build their midfield, I sighed with relief that WC didn't pinch a meaningless win. Everyone has sugarcoated the eagles for to long now. We overperformed in 2011 and 12 and quite frankly we are still rubbish despite a new coach. Those people commenting on facebook should have actually watched the game, because its clear they knew nothing about what actually happened. We couldn't get our hands on the ball, and surely in difficult conditions we might've got close to Sydney. The person that said they put in a 4 quarter effort is completely and utterly wrong. Sydney kicked three goals in a row at the start of the last quarter and blew the game away from us! We can't accept mediocrity anymore, and its clear these people would be better off becoming GWS fans.
